I can assure you it's not the work of moments. I can also assure you, as stated above, that we're working to get it taken care of.

It's now been passed from our ad team to Google.

Can't you put the ads in a iframe/div/whatever with a set height? At least it wont overspill, but get cropped.
And to be clear on why it's not the work of moments, we cannot do this.

.mpu div {
height: 100px;
overflow: auto;
}

fixes it for me. Not that hard.

I appreciate the help and, despite the look of the forum, we're mighty capable with CSS. It's more of a contractual issue than a technical issue.

Like I said, it's being fixed. I'll let you know when I hear back from the Google.

Surely the advertisers/google and breaking the contract by providing you with oversized ads when you've specified what sizes you want. You have specified the sizes, haven't you?

Or, to keep your members happy, the ones who see and click links making you money, maybe you could just remove that ad area for now.

Are you seriously telling us that you have no control over the adverts that Google is serving you and all you can do is sit there and wait for them to call you back?

Some of us do this stuff for a living, we produce and host sites for a number of household name organisations and when one - whose title sponsor is a car company - objected to having adverts from other car companies served to their site it took us all of about ten minutes to sort it out with Google. Do you need some contact names of people to talk to, because if you are just sitting there waiting for them to call you back when they are screwing up your site there is something sadly wrong.

Amusingly, I am having trouble reading this thread because that bloody ad pisses over the text!

One movie I will definitely never go to see.

I've heard back from our ad team. They tell me the advertiser has been blocked and Google are looking into how it happened.

Can you confirm it's gone?

And today?

I've just got this e-mail from our ads team:

It seems to be gone from Australia.
Thanks

I'm still seeing it, browsing from Australia on the main site. Less of an issue now cos other adverts are appearing correctly so a refresh sorts it out but still annoying

Good to know that those of us who respect the wishes of those involved and don't run ad blockers are so well looked after.
