£15M for Carroll good price or not ?
big hit but at least you will save on the wages
Unlikely to get much more I would think. Unless a bidding war starts... <cough!>big hit but at least you will save on the wages
So it's £12m.

£15m...are you on drugs? This is West Ham we're talking about. The deal is £12m plus additional payments if He/West Ham are succesful.
So it's £12m.
You making things up again? There's not even been a story about it, just a tweet from BBCSport, so we don't even know if the £15m is confirmed, yet you seem to have a break down of the entire deal?! So it's £12m.

Still, even at £12m I think that's an OK price - considering we got Sturridge for that price! How much did Ade cost? £9m?
£5m...having a bad day JB?
And no, sorry, £12m is not an OK price for a £35m player.
I seem to remember you all spaffing yourself silly at the thought of getting West Ham to cough up £18m if they wanted to keep him when the loan period runs out...I said then it was bullshine and that West Ham couldn't afford that but no, "it was in the agreement with West ham" we were told.
So much for that agreement.
It's being reported on the BBC website now.

That's a lot of money. i wonder if Newcastle will come in for him?

It is - if no-one else is prepared to buy him and we can't afford to have him on the bench on his wages. Me, I'd have him as an option. But apparently he's too expensive for us to just have him as an option. We are evidently not a super rich club...

Carroll was never a £35m player - we all said that when he was signed.
The transfer fee for Ade was £5m, plus a £4m signing on fee = £9m (I know maths isn't your strong point, but come on, you should be able to count up to 9 by now).
West Ham are exposing themselves to a potential £15m cost to buy Carrol (we have no idea what these additionals are based on), not really much of a leap from £18m. I seem to remember at the time you were saying there is no way West Ham would pay more than £10m!

I'm not sure what's so funny? £15m was the only figure reported when I first posted. There was nothing else reported so I couldn't have known it was going to be £12m + additions.
Thats not whats so funny...more your assertion that I was "making it up again"...which was itself
"wrong again".Keane-esque I'm afraid. Scored goals before he joined us but for some reason just couldn't do it for us. Heskey without his ability to find the net, if you will.
So, ultimately a failure, which is a shame. He was a trier like Emile, showed promise and did contribute well in that destructive way... but strikers ultimately need goals right?
The fans loved him because of his effort though and he'll get a warm welcome when he returns to Anfield. I'm sure we all wish him well.

. Shame, I think he would be a great plan B, but there you go.
