...they look really nice IMO.

It must be just me but i prefer the earlier dash style, especially with leven switchgear.
I do agree though, although the leven button covers are a vast improvement on the plastic originals, they have managed to make an expensive real ally cover look like a plastic imitation.
If you have to drill to enlarge, just remember if you fit a metal dash like the leven version, there is no need to refit the steel backplate which is heavy, normally rusty & increases the thickness when refitting the dials.

If you are going to use those then please do take the effort to drill the larger mounting hole option which will enable you to mount the switches reasonably flush - otherwise they stand out like an erection in a convent and look quite pants!Phil

The 2 prongs on the photo are the illumined part of the sw
The bit that comes of the one with the 6 connection s is the sw
Did mine about 4 moths ago and I think there was a link to put in but not 100%
Get the multi meter out its about 15 mins of a job when you have your head round it

Just finished... switch in and illuminates all is good replaces the black plastic switch

Thay do look good
The other thing you can do for changing the dash is to buy a piece of sheet aluminium or, for the more adventurous, carbon fibre and cut it to fit.
You can then drill whatever holes you want, wherever you want.
I replaced the front of mine with 1mm carbon fibre, glued onto the steel sheet. Looks great but actually would have been just as easy to mark up a 2-3mm sheet of carbon fibre and cut away at it.
Cutting carbon fibre is a bit of a pig to cut because you get a slight 'frayed' effect on the edge, especially if there's any movement between the jigsaw and sheet. You only notice it around the radio because all other edges are covered by bezels.
If I had my time again I would probably buy the 3M adhesive carbon look-alike, which you cut with a stanley knife.

thats what i did .. it looks the dogs dangles and to date ive done another 2 more and their jaw dropped when they saw the finished articleRich
im up to do anyones elses dash any colour carbon pm me for full details

The problem with using 3M carbon is that there is real stuff above your head. I had a play at the weekend and sprayed a few coats of clear over some and it gets it looking a bit more realistic, think that I'm going to give that a go as a stopgap whilst I'm occupied with an ever growing list.

What terminals mate with the tabs on the back of these switches?!?I had assumed that they were just the normal 2.8mm crimps but they're smaller / thinner than 2.8mm blades...

Phil
the terminals
the two pins on the switch: pos goes to the purple and green wire although you may have a different colour that goes to the flashing unit... neg goes to neg but i smartly joined it up halfway to the neg with the little switch relay neg which is no.2 on the relay... the pos feed to the relay goes on to no.1 on the switch relay
also no need to drill or anything mine fitted perfectly screwed it tight and fitted it all back together
