I don’t understand this talk of moving up from £90k… our OP is on a six figure salary and has been for last 3 years.

At least some of the other trolls we’ve had were fun, and were good enough to keep you guessing.

That’s hilarious.
You’ve got to assume that this person is not quite well, creating multiple accounts across multiple websites asking the same mundane questions obsessed with wealth.
And probably living in their mum’s basement.

Hugely bizarre behaviour.

Indicates cognitive issues I suspect. Though the way they write means it could also be a kid.

There’s honestly LOADS of these morons on Reddit. Too thick to usually remember that they posted something 2 months prior complete rendering their story as bks. A bit like OP.

Well, Laurie’s correct that it can’t be right. biggrin They’ve said you lose £1 in personal allowance, but taken that £1 to be 100% tax to end up with 20p take home for every £2 earned.

It’s a very popular topic on finance forums. And of course frozen bandings and more and more people creeping above £100k prompts the question a lot.

Also think many of the popular YouTube/tv finance talking heads make a big thing of it so people seem more aware.

Now that is weird.

What I find interesting is that he gets all the same types of replies, regardless of the forum in question:

"But you said last week you were on more"

"If you earn so much, why can't you work it out?"

And so on.

Yeah he seems to be know to them.

Called out on being only interested in bragging about salary and also apparently he was telling everyone on the he was in £119k in November.

He seems to be a bit of a fantasist desperate to impress people on the internet.

Probs best not to engage.

On one hand it’s amusing that either he’s a Walt fantasist or maybe just highly paid in a specialist role but is severely lacking in basic life skills to work out his taxation…

But on the other it’s too weird & inconsistent and potentially suggests that all is definitely not well with this character behind the keyboard.

Indeed.

Hilarious and tragic in equal measure...
