A few of us who ordered early on are being told to expect delivery w/c 19/6. The official UK launch is apparently 17/6.

I was originally told similar but now been told the beginning of Aug.... which is exactly what happened with my M240 which was put back three times, but my dealership assures me I'm still getting thier first allocation..?

It's quite amazing what counts as a "last hurrah" these days.

1700kg+, turbocharged to remove as much engine character as possible, a middling manual gearbox, ePAS and loads of electronic nannying leaves me with more or a "oh" than a "hurrah".

I’m happy for next year to be honest. I’d gone in thinking that was the case anyway, especially when I had looked at Porsche and this was 12 months.

You might be right and a test drive will probably reveal all either way. If it's anywhere near as good as its predecessor, which wasn't exactly light either, then that will work for me despite the turbo, epas and manual shift.

Your car is a lovely thing, and very competent. This just feels like more of a whimper than a bang for the ICE M-car.

I sold it a few months ago and I have copied you with a MINI!

BMW simply didn't have a "light" enough platform this time around as they used the 1-series RWD platform for the old M2 whereas this time they had to make do with a bigger body in white as the current 1-series is FWD/4wd transverse, sadly...

Good stuff. I'm sure you'll have plenty of fun. Mine is long gone, and replaced with a much more useable stopgap while we prevent a house from falling down around us.

I'm really looking forward to seeing one of these in the metal. I'm already a fan of the M240i in Thundernight as it is. smokin

I can't believe I've racked up 12,000 miles in mine in six months it really is that good... My old M2 and other stuff are hardly turning a wheel at the mo... Hopefully keeping the New M2 for weekend fun onlydriving

Cancelled your order then?

What are you getting instead?

M2 prices seemed to have dropped. Won't be long until these are in the 40s!

Suppose to be there is quite a lot of surplus M2s that can’t be shifted hence favourable offers on new as well

Headed off to AT for a look, a few red ones being advertised with £7/8k off and mention of £2k contribution also. Jeez some angles are very tough to look at.

Such a shame. The F87 was/is such a great looking car.

This car is fecking ugly. In black it helps to soften the lines.
