Crash boy's life saved by 20mph limit, says mum
A mother whose son was left seriously injured after he was hit by a car believes the 20mph limit saved his life.
The 11-year-old, named Ioan, was left with a double fracture to his pelvis, deep cuts to his face, knees, back and elbow and needed three stitches to his lower lip after the crash on Monday.
Mum Rhiannon, from Holywell, Flintshire, said the youngster could have been killed if the vehicle had been going faster.

I've never been knocked down, nor have any of my friends nor any of their kids and most of us live on NSLs
It's amazing what happens when you rely on yourself rather than others to look after you

But seriously, the assumed right of way for pedestrians and cyclists which has come from misinterpretation of road user hierarchy, is not doing their safety any favours. We need to return to common sense.

TUT TUT WG want to control our lives.Waters and Dripford out as they are an embarrassment to Labour party.
The Conwy protesters were few as they only put their details on Facearse. I'm not on it, yet would have joined them if l had known about it.

It's naïve to believe that Dripford's early departure was not influenced by pressure from central Labour Party.Waters and Dripford out as they are an embarrassment to Labour party.

Although Angela Rayner may beg to differ, after she extolled Dripford's policies as the Blueprint for Britain until she was told to shut up.

Like I said before, Dripford & Khan may well have helped Labour clinch defeat from the jaws of victory.Although Angela Rayner may beg to differ, after she extolled Dripford's policies as the Blueprint for Britain until she was told to shut up.

For balance the tories in Westminster haven’t exactly covered themselves in glory have they?M
For even more balance on this particular topic, Sunak has stated his opposition to blanket "hare-brained" road calming and safety schemes, specifically including 20mph zones, adding that he doesn't want to see such measures "forced" on drivers.
