My goodness me, that's a lot of money for a Mustang. Not the bargain they were any more.
The only good thing is secondhand cars are holding up well . So come trade in time, hopefully will go towards balancing it out. I. Have been looking but will probably keep mine, 1500 miles a year ! Centurion07 said:

Thanks for sharing. That’s more than I can justify for a new Mustang!
It's more than ANYBODY should justify for an S550 Mustang given that they were mid-thirties only five years ago!! Still a hell of a lot of money, my 69 plate cost me £42k after discount.

A £1000 tune will get the first ones up to 470bhp with no other mods and aside from the digital dash and the option of Recaros I don't think the interior has changed has it?
Some of the more plastic bits in the interior are now leathery plastic, like the transmission tunnel. To be honest both gens are a bargain for what they are. The second gen is nicer, but the first is a cracking car, and the difference in prices between the two used make sense. The first cars have had their residuals helped with the second having a jump in price. The same happened with the Nissan GTRs (R35), there was a sudden increase in price from the first gen in the UK, and that kept the prices high. I've got an 18 plate pre-facelift. So am being honest when I say the facelifts are noticeably nicer, but that it doesn't mean the pre-facelifts aren't still good value.
One consideration is that if you want to play around and tune it, it's much easier on the pre-facelifts as they don't have the G/OPF, so the US company tunes work. I got a car to play with and tinker with, so went pre-facelift.

Sorry, never in a month of Sundays will a tune alone gain you 50hp over stock!Tune, free flowing exhaust, 2018 inlet manifold & CAI may get you about 30hp, but the only way to achieve 50hp would be to swap the headers as well. From someone thats now sitting on 520 with all the above and now looking at Camms and head porting to reach the magical 600 NA

I don't know what a tune will gain on a completely standard car, but I do know for a 100% verifiable fact that a 2015 model fitted with a PMAS intake ($400?) plus a tune will put a UK car at 470bhp, and what are they standard, 410/415ish?
I know of two identically-specced cars that were measured on a respected RR and came out at 470 and 471.
If you only made an extra 30bhp from the mods you listed then I'd get someone that knows what they're doing to tune it again as that's abysmal.

I don’t know absolute figures but have read the uk cars are detuned to meet emissions. Iam sure someone will pop up and confirm.
Not that I would do anything to mine, quite happy to keep the warranty as standard.
Made big mistakes in the past with the griff 500 !
RHD are de-tuned as the headers had to be screwed with to get around the steering rack. Not that I would do anything to mine, quite happy to keep the warranty as standard.

For £1k though you can do manifold, intake and tune which you should hit high 400s bhp.

Blimey, that’s not expensive, just to have it, don’t need it. I will ask the Ford warranty department. For £1k though you can do manifold, intake and tune which you should hit high 400s bhp.
