PH Forza 5 Kia Cee'd set build race night
Discussion
Hi all, with the (hopefully) impending release of Project Cars and some requests I thought I'd see if enough people are interested to make it worth doing a set build race night or two.
The first race will be Saturday 14th March, lobby will open at 8:15pm for 8:30pm start. Track will be Silverstone GP 20 laps with 2 mandatory pit stops.
The car will be a Kia Cee'd which must be built as follows:
Engine conversion: 2.0 VVTi
Aspiration conversion: centrifugal supercharger
Aero: Forza aero front and rear
Tyres and rims: race tyres, front tyre width 255, rear tyre width 255, sport rim style volk TE37, front rim size 19", rear rim size 20"
Drivetrain: race clutch, race transmission, race driveline, race differential
Platform and handling: race brakes, race springs, race front and rear anti-roll bars, race roll cage, race weight reduction.
Engine: race intake, sport exhaust, race flywheel.
This should give you B534.
For those who can't be arsed to make a tune I've shared the tune I'll be using. Its called PH kia cup.
Please list your names below!

Me!
Will have a go at the build later - have you got any times to shoot at Andy as I'll have a go at tuning my own before giving up and using your tune...
I ran 9 laps today and managed a 2:22.1xx. The car was very consistently close to that time though mate. Just bear in mind that you're a bit faster than me Will have a go at the build later - have you got any times to shoot at Andy as I'll have a go at tuning my own before giving up and using your tune...

Had a quick go last night (at least an hour...)
My tuning is at best ropey, at worst undriveable but I've managed to build something that got into the low/mid 22s. Using Homer's tune I had a couple of laps around 2.21.5xx
I've got a few laps in today and I'm finding that its pretty consistent. There could be some tight racing on the night!! My tuning is at best ropey, at worst undriveable but I've managed to build something that got into the low/mid 22s. Using Homer's tune I had a couple of laps around 2.21.5xx
Count me in as a maybe, will have to wait and see a bit closer to the date whether I have anything on.
Now to get practicing with the wheel! I'm a couple of seconds slower with it but it is far more fun!
Just put in 13 laps with homers tune... It's very nice, 1st gear being that short caught me out but it's nicely balanced
Averaging 2:21.9xxs with a 2:21:6ish being my spot on laps
