Got lucky with the Aurora this evening, looking north east from Grinton Moor in the Yorkshire Dales.

Got some of it from down in Dorset. iPhone 12 Pro, 10 sec, ISO 2000. Stepped up the vibrancy here:Yorkshire Dales Aurora-1 by Ian Mitchell, on Flickr

Here's the original:
Nice aurora pics ! I completely missed it.
I've been experimenting with vintage lenses on my new (to me) Fujifilm X-T1.
This is taken with a Helios 44M 58mm F2 lens from around the late 60's early 70's. Apparently they're well know for producing swirly bokeh. I think you can see that with this shot.
That poor leaf on the right looks worried that they can't hold on to their friend any longer !

More experiments with vintage lenses.
I have to say I'm pretty stunned by the sharpness and colours with this.

Rock group "Focus" are still going strong after 50 years with two original members and two newer additions to the lineup. Here are some photos I took at their recent gig in Galashiels, Scotland.

Perhaps not so much of a random photo as an opportune one, I was bringing the bin in (I kid you not) and noticed an interesting light and clouds over the beach. I ran in, grabbed my camera and a couple of lenses and got this.

Glad I made the effort to go out, haven't shot an aurora in quite a while. Helps that it's only a 10 minute drive from home to that spot.
I was out there from around 10pm (when it started getting dark) until it faded about midnight, went home to bed and learnt the next day it had flared up much stronger around 1-2am but that's life!
