never. used to go there a lot cos it was so close, but very average in terms of a good curry - in fact that local one at the top of my raod where we went last saturday is better IMHO. The Pubanee in Botley is good having said that...

Faster watching paint dry *divesforcover*

Mungo...please could you post on my 'Brighton Burble' Return topic on Events where exactly the Seven Stars pub is in Petersfield. I've never been there!

Thanks

I used to frequent Locksheath a fair bit cos my best mate lived there before she moved to Devon!!

Nah, that one near you is good but not a patch on the India Garden mate

Indian garden is appalling in terms of the way the restaurant is set out - ok for a post pub curry but other than that its pretty much just huge open plan. The curries are often watery and lacking full flavour. On occasion its military medium.

I was brought up in Locks Heath, Locks Heath Park road to be precise. And the house won the ideal homes exhibition in 1920 something allegedly.

Must have been a long time since you have been there then mate, the curry's are of the fullest flavours I have ever savoured in my lucky pallet

yeah, 12 days ago after a couple of pints at the lock stock. The stock stock was my old local so we used to go fr a curry at that place every Friday for about 5 years

not going to argue over curries Mungo. I think they are very average there - you think they are excellant. I wouldnt drag PHers halfway across the county to have a curry there when the post is about nice restaurants.

OK Matt! If you think a curry from the local shopping precinct constitutes a top notch meal then who am I to argue.

Changing this subject.....

.Mark - how about the Dukes Head on the Stockbridge road.... lovely game in the right season.

Glad the curry debate is over. Personally I like the M&S ones.

Don't know either so there is another couple for the list.

Jo and I had lunch inthe tapas place in Romsey though and thought that was great.

Oops! Sorry Big Al, of course yours is good enough!

.Mark...Just a thought, how about trying The Criterion (Marco-Pierre White) in Piccadilly? It'll cost you a small fortune but is highly recommended. Perhaps you could make a weekend of it and treat Jo to a West End show and an overnight stay!

I take it that's probably a 'no' then!!
