I live over in Castleford and have been a dozen or so times, I think I went during the original opening weekend when just the garage and showroom existed!
It's come on leaps and bounds since then, and has no doubt become very popular, very impressive place.
I went on Sunday morning for an hour and it was just about right, not too busy (as in, hardly any cars on the gravel and a few spaces available on the tarmac) as during the summer the ENTIRE field was full to the brim. Not such a bad thing, but I seem to enjoy the quieter winter weekend mornings more, a little more intimate and no feeling of "too much to look at".
It's definitely something we needed up here, was starting to struggle to find places to go. Used to enjoy the big breakfast meet at Malton Supercars until it stopped, Sports Cars in the Park is a good one, and I even attended Jap Night at Squires but that's less Jap and more weed nowadays!

Posted on this thread a while back, as a (very) local i am up there for short periods very often.
There are lights up in the car park now which is a big improvement and also a smart business decision in order to maintain the 'hanging around and spending a few quid on a coffee and a bacon roll' aspect into the cold and dark season.
Used the restaurant a number of times, and we've booked tables upstairs for a few of the F1 races too, had some food and beers, been great. Very good addition and I'm lucky to have it so near. Just need some fancier events on like Caffeine and Machine... their late night Halloween party is great.

I live near too, the last time we went cars were doing burnouts, and flying down the access road,
we left after that.
kids walking about, it was an accident waiting to happen,
That's very disappointing to hear. there are LOTS of signs telling people to drive slowly on the access road as they clearly don't want to be held responsible for tttish behaviour. Perhaps they should state that any cars being driven irresponsibly will be banned from the premises. tts will be tts and it would be a shame if they ruin it for everyone.we left after that.

I've only just heard of this place and I'm planning on heading over for the new year's day cars and coffee - anyone else going?
Me and the wife will be there in our Buick, think I saw an ad up on the Leeds Cruise page for it too, so I'm expecting a fairly hefty turnout.Gassing Station | Yorkshire | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
