Hi Guys,

I have a 2003 Porsche 996 Turbo

I want to check my cars alignment over and would like to have everything checked over.

I tried CLCM in Sighthill, Edinburgh but the car was too low to get onto his ramp which surprised me, I could book her in again but take my front splitter off but I was just wondering if anyone knows of any other garage/specialists near Edinburgh or central belt?

Thanks
Michael

CLCM are very good - shame it wouldn't go on the ramp. I ended up taking my race car to Ecosse Peugeot in Bo'ness - they have a ramp which is fully recessed into the ground and setup my corner weighting too, which made the biggest difference of all.

I should add Matt, the owner is a complete Porsche buff, so he'd be more than happy to help :-)

I have a 2003 996 turbo with a factory aero kit and mine fitted on his ramp no problem? Has you car been lowered more than normal, or is there a problem with the suspension? As there's only about 6 screws holding it on, I'd take the splitter off and book in again. smile

John at progrip in larbert will do your 996. My rs4 is pretty low and he got it on fine. He is one of the best in central for setting cars up properly. Another option for you.

What's a Porsche buff? Lol

Another option is Kenny Brown Motor Engineers in Hillington Ind Est in Glasgow. Specialises in race/ track set ups, mine was very low when he started on it and had to remove the front spoiler. He can tailor your set up to whatever way you want it to handle.
Usually costs me 137 bucks, but my set up is far from standard........

Don't think he's buff though wink

My car is booked in for Friday. He did my last car and it transformed the steering.

Michael,

There is always Pete at Motortune in Shotts. They have just done me wife's 964 to RS geo on it has completely transformed the car.

Pete has a wealth of knowledge on Porsche's as well (he specialises in the marque), so a good garage to use.

Thanks for all the heads up guys.

Should've said car is quite low running Moton clubsports.

Ended up using Matt at Ecosse - had to send the old man as I was too busy but we were both well impressed with the service and customer care.

Car drives great now!

Thanks again!
