He guys
Let s stop this argument and talk about bringing this utterly wonderful event back!
I hear they are busy to get a good slot to have a good combo with Spa.
(I can confirm that tvrm doesn t do agressive, the man doesn t know what it is .
Mk1fan I hope you are able to come to this brilliant event .
Hope to see you both there and to drink a beer or two with you guys.)
If we can work it around other events we'll be there, but we've already committed to a June event (Classic Le Man).Let s stop this argument and talk about bringing this utterly wonderful event back!

Just happen to have a new set that I can't use in the series I'll run in next year. Be a shame not to use them before they're past their sell by date
Mine's only a little old NA 3100 V6 though, not a grunty blown V8
Yes, but mine are a set of fairly narrow slicks (215s) that have already seen service in the Clio Cup series, and at £30 a tyre it seemed rude not to buy them.Mine's only a little old NA 3100 V6 though, not a grunty blown V8
However, I don't race, so you will have a much better handle on how to carry speed through corners.
My car is a good 10 mph faster around Coram at Snetterton with the slicks on compared to R888Rs, though I have to add that locking up all four under braking, while closely following a friend into the 90 left at the end of Coram, did necessitate a change of underwear for said friend - I had no idea I had locked up until the clouds of smoke drifted past me as he took evasive action. Good job he was watching his mirrors.
Car is only 325 bhp at low boost, or 395 bhp at high boost. I had to build a new engine a couple of years ago, so went for a stock Range Rover 4.6 build (stock RR parts are really cheap), with the full intention of making a low compression engine with minimal valve overlap, and turbocharging it to just under 400 bhp. So many of my friends boost their already well developed 4.6s and 5.0s with high compression and find out to their cost, when their inner 19 year old cannot help seeing what bhp it will make at max boost, that standard Rover V8s break if you go much over 400 bhp without fitting stronger internals.
The difference between 325 and 395 bhp? About 5-10 mph at the end of the straight. It doesn't make you a better driver, nor does it make you corner faster.
Just seen this post. I have been to Zolder on a few occasions and it’s not just a Trackday or what ever you want to call it. The whole event is great fun both on and off track. The evenings are great fun socialising with other people with the same thing in common TVR,s or fast cars. The hotels we have stayed in have been great. The food has always been very good and the odd beer goes down well. The time on track when it’s just open track is no different than any other trackday I have ever been on, you drive however you want too fast, slow it’s your choice. I have driven at my capabilities and just gone round following others just for fun. The timed events are good fun as well and again you drive how you want no one forces you to drive fast, mind you saying that I did win the acceleration test which I was shocked at and I quite enjoyed getting the trophy. All I am saying is it’s a great event for all to enjoy.
