The "what bike bits have you just bought" thread Vol 2
Discussion
Bought loads of bits it feels this last few days,
Jockey wheels for one, back mech for another- some more tyres to convert MrsPushed to a fast eGravel, but I am struggling….
I need a Nukeproof Neutron V2 Freehub Body 36t, but Shimano Hyperglide I believe to suit the SRAM NX eagle chainsets.
That way I can use the Nukeproof wheels I have stumbled upon.

Cassette, chain, chainring, one new Marathon tyre, brake pads and fluid change for Mrs DLD's commuter. She has worn it out cycling to work over the winter;)
The rear tyre had three or four large deep cuts, through to the blue rubber layer and one almost right through. Not punctured or bulging though.
Testament both to the terrible state of the roads and the toughness of Marathon tyres. Not the grippiest or most comfortable but they are solid commuter rubber.

Waiting on a new chain, a chain stretch tool, some powerlinks and a few other bits. After an Evri based debacle with old Wiggle, I also managed to get some 23mm GP5000 for a sensible sum of money. Sadly they're blackwall, but I'm off to Mallorca so need fresh rubber.
Am debating a new BB. Stuck with GXP, but I scored a cheap Prime Ceramic from the big shutdown for my gravel bike and I'm tempted to swap it over as it spins so much better. Anyone have GXP road recommendations?

Not that I have purchased anything , but I have came across a lovely Giant TCR Advanced pro 1. 2021 rim brake model.
The guy has recently upgraded and looking to shift it on. Its advertised at a resonable price but think he's willing to drop the price a bit to get it sold.
Anyone got experince here of one? whats the pitfalls , what to look out for?
I went over last weekend for a look and it looks like a lovely ride, and well looked after.
Any advice appreciated.
Cheers

I’ve just ordered a set if new wheels for my Kenevo. Tried to end the big dent out, but the rear rim doesn’t look too clever.
I went with a pair of Hope Pro 5 hubs on DT 511’s from Moonglu who build bloody good wheels.
I also need to buy a seasucker bike carrier so I can stick bikes on my Z4 coupe that I’ve just bought.

I had to swap one of my kenevo wheels due to it denting. The specialised rims are awful... Soft as hell. I went with a pair of Hope Pro 5 hubs on DT 511’s from Moonglu who build bloody good wheels.

Can't remember the last time I had to do that on a bike.

Yeah, they do appear to be made of cheese. Can't remember the last time I had to do that on a bike.
The dent has gone further than just the bead. Whoops. Tye last set of wheels that I dented were Race Face ARC rims.
The 511’s I had on my Demo 8 were brilliant and Moonglu build really good wheels so I’m sure they’ll be a big improvement.
Don't mention horror stories now that I've ordered, I didn't find any horror stories online before buying!
Even with shipping from the UK they are still about 25% cheaper than DT M1900 in the shops here, sounds like you found a bargain!
