Was the same 2 I had on the radar as the CSL is just spot on in every way, but the way I came to ordering the 1M was the intended use, and having a car that I built for track in the garage then the CSL would have been a waste for not being used as intended, so the 1M more so suited our needs and it also looks great in my opinion, due for build later this month ............ I doubt you will be disappointed. From those pics above it's quite clear to see that the CSL and 1M are a similiar size which is the perfect size I think. I really do not understand this obsession for manufacturers to make each consecutive iteration of a car bigger. Says a lot when the smaller 1 series is now the same size as the previous 3. Where will it stop? In 15 years time the 3 series will be the size of a bus, the 1 will have grown to 7 series proportions and they'll need to come up with a 0 series as the small car of the range!

Largely safety and crash regs no doubt are the factors, as interior space hasn't gone up in proportion to the increase in exterior dimensions, which is why each next generation of a model gets bigger.JNW1 said:

Both great cars
Nothing at all against the 1M but based purely on looks the CSL wins hands down for me; not sure BMW has ever made a better looking car, still stunning IMO!Gassing Station | M Power | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
