Anybody bought a Bremont watch yet?

A relatively new company producing decent quality swiss/english aviator style watches, retailing at about £2600. Strongly marketed through connections with Bear Grylss and other intrepid souls.

They have been selected as a 'future top brand'

I wondered if anyone thought they might make a decent buy/investment now before they become massive, because the watches look fab. Worth a punt?

Some nice watches there.

I wonder why these manufacturers try to link their watches with "Aviation Professionals" , most of the pilots I know couldn't care less about watches.

Old fashioned ideas in the customers mind I guess about the acuracy and robustness, but that was when they flew the atlantic in an open cockpit with just charts!

Just to add, a little bit about them in the suppliment with this months Octane.

" Bremont is an all-new brand offering a range of beautifully made, good looking flight and sports watches. Establish by British brothers Nick and Giles English, two highly experience display pilots with a passion for mechanical objects, all Bremont products are chronometer certified for accuracy. Chronograph and non-chronograph models are included in this impressive range.

Prices range from £1900 to £2950."

They have ben selected to be tutored by other leading British makes such as Jimmy Choo, to penetrate export markets which might suggests they have something the 'also rans' don't?

um, who by?......someone with a vested intrest?

A UK consortium of existing top brands that identuify new brands with potenetial to mentor and support during the early years. They tend to favour 'style' items so chose a clothing line, a perfumer, a jeweller and in this case a watch maker to support each year.

Of course they may have their own interests in Bremont????

BTW, I was only thinking of buying a watch, not investing in the company although buying a few shares could the cheaper and more profitable option if they end up flying because of the hype rather than the product.
