Been thinking about this for a while and there are many desserts that have alcohol in them...

Classics like
- Sherry Trifle and Christmas Pudding

through to the teenage kick backs of
- Vodka Jelly

I myself did a twist on the Vodka Jelly and made Baileys Angel Delight and also using Liqueurs over Sorbets

What other mad alcohol related desserts have people had or made????

Yep you guessed I am bored at work

Tiramisu is originally made from Marsala wine and rum, but many variations of liquor have been introduced, including Brandy. Tia Maria would work well, love the stuff so I cant see it going wrong.

Tia Maria in a chocolate mousse, or anything chocolate related. Come to think of it just Tia Maria and some chocolate would do me

Felicini's (high-class Italian chain) do this dessert that involves a generous scoop of vanilla ice-cream, a shot of espresso and a shot of Frangelico hazelnut liqueur... lick

Also v fond of Russian cherries preserved in vodka - heat up and pour over icecream.

The Sloe Gin Thread reminded me,

Mother used to make Bramble Vodka, Four Fruits Brandy, Raspberry Gin etc. She did once make a crumble with the fruit she extracted when bottling up, however the kitchen smelled like a distillery and it didn't live up to expectations!

My sister makes jelly with wine (she uses the cheap pink stuff) and vegetarian gellatine. She puts fruit through it too.

Cheap choc chip cookies dipped in brandy are pretty good.

Or

Lemon sorbet with a shot of Vodka over it (cant remember what it is called but rather nice.)

Get a pan on the stove, sling a shot of whiskey in, and add some orange / Lemon marmalade make sure the jelliness of the marmalade has gone and you are left with a nice suace to poor over Vanilla Ice Cream.

Remember when I was a kid and me mum used to buy Rum Babas, Don't think they had any real alcohol in them, but would love a recipe and make them with proper booze. Anyone have a good recipe..? Used to love 'em.

Oh, Tiramisu, with coffee/brandy or tia maria or coffee/rum. Decaf of course!

Oddly enough I like cheap choc chip cookies but until now would put them under the tap and soak with water - love this idea!

I picked this idea up from my first visit to Le Mans, as my friends dad has done it for years, i think it is more of a Yachty, sailing thing.

However you do have to use cheap cookies

But they are bloody nice.

Having used damsons to make Damson vodka, I was left with a quantity of vodka infused damsons.
cue large amount of plain chocolate, melted down to coat the fruit with. lick

This year, having blackcurrants instead, I mixed them with fresh damsons and apples to make a fruit crumble with a definite kick to it. Still have some mix left. smile

The upcoming blackberries will be gorgeous over ice cream.

How about something with Creme-De-Menthe? Recipes here along with a few for Baileys.

I like Cointreau with Crepes.

Was in Cannes last year, out for dinner with Mrs and brother-in-law. We had crepes which were dowsed in Calvados. We could barely finish them, by the time we did we were sloshed !

Vodka watermelon always goes down well at bbq's in the summer. You basically buy a watermelon a bottle of vodka and a funnel. Stab the funnel into the watermelon and over a few days add the vodka, as much or as little as you like, and the watermelon absorbs the vodka and ends up tasting lush.
