hopefully some of the PH gurus can help

Have a soundbar, a sub and two play 1s as a TV surround set upp. All 4 are compatible with the S2 app.

The play 1s have been in storage for a year or so. The soundbar is hard wired to router, subs and play1s not so wifi connection.

Moved into new home and the S2 app finds all 4 but only recognises the bar and sub.

Both Play 1s say "not registered". When i click on them I get this message:

"Incompatible Software Versions, the version of the app youre using isnt compaitble with your sonos system, so some settings have been disabled"

is this because the play 1s need an update?
How do I do this if app wont let me?

I tried the S1 app but that bounces me straight to a screen saying go to S2 app

Yep as above I've had the odd device not being recognised over the years. The only surefire fix was to hardwire in and factory reset.

That always seemed to sort it.
OK - so I hardwired the first play 1 and factory reset it.

when I go back into the S2 app it asks me if I want to add the play 1. when I clcik on it I get that same "incompatible software version" message

now what?
