I just saw the last one (with the dinning table), thought it was great tbh!
But, as said, a lot of them lately gave the tired out feeling. That last one didn't though.
As for HIMYM, glad they're finishing it, they're doing a season now of "How I Met Your Father" by the looks of it :/ not sold, not sold on it at all!
I bet it's as good as "Joey"....But, as said, a lot of them lately gave the tired out feeling. That last one didn't though.

Sorry, I wasn't clear, the last episodes have consisted of flashbacks of the mother and how she got there, thus making it a "how I met your father" type deal.
I find it odd an pretty uninspired, still hoping for a good finale though.

Wow, 3 years will certainly be pushing it.
FWIW I'm still very much enjoying it at the moment though.
Pushing it on for another three years ! FWIW I'm still very much enjoying it at the moment though.
Well, it could work, but the story arc is going to have to evolve.
The only option they have is to really push on and have Sheldon discover coitus, obviously with hilarious consequences.
To add dramatic tension, someone should have a baby and someone should die.
Suggestions as to who has these things happen to them?
Well all you non believers. TBBT gets a three season renewal. (yes, I am surprised as well).

Listen the sensible ones amongst us have always said Bernadette is the cutie.
Death Howard's mother.
A sprog to Leonard and Penny.
Howard and Bernie want a sprog but can't. Howard's fault. Who do they pick as donor.
Shamy glacial progress. Until they do the dirty deed, Amy gets knocked up after first time, Sheldon announces even his sperm are the best, the final episode shows them all as old farts.
Leonard / Penny as generic oldies.
Howard / Bernie screaming at their kids like Howard's Mom.
Raj and Stuart as old gay couple.
Shamy with junior Sheldon and Sheldon's mom discussing about having him tested.
Basically three more seasons becoming ever more turgid.
This thread descends into a version of Top Gear season n+1 thread with a post on every alternate page saying "Well don't watch it then. "

I'm not meaning to whinge but its lost it for me and I've stopped watching, its lost its "uniqueness" and has become a bit stale, that combined with the odd scheduling(which feels like even E4 have given up on it) means I feel less inclined to hunt it down.
If you still love it, great, me I can't be arsed anymore

It's still a good show, it's on for 3 more years which is good news.
Predictable post is predictable.....It's still a good show, it's on for 3 more years which is good news.
Like TG, they need to evolve. What has worked for many years is now becoming very samey. It's using past glories to survive at present. Keeping any show fresh is a very big ask in these modern times. Think of all the shows that peaked, then just ebbed away, surviving on what once was. This will be one of those very soon, if not already. 3 years is a very long time to keep any show at it's peak. Only time will tell if they can manage that.
The stories are sometimes witty and funny, but it's getting tired. The longer any show goes on, the more people will complain about it.
Me, I love it but hate it at times - no show is brilliant all the time. Jim Parsons, however, I feel is the real star, while Bernie and Penny are eye candy, Sheldon is, usually, brilliant.
Other reasons we watch it? That's easy:
And of course:
