Why is this kid being branded innocent?

To all of you laughing, I hardly think it's funny.
A very close friend of mine was stabbed halfway through a burglary and was killed.
Actually, now I think about it, he wasn't. Given a bit more thought, it turns aout he's alive because he's NOT a thieving heap of st who was robbing someone.

That's the problem today is that no one understands the consequences because there are no consequences at the end of the day. The Police are hamstrung by rules, the CPS won't prosecute, and if they do get that far the defendant sheds a few crocodile tears and gets let out.What is pretty obvious today is that burglars are going further in their actions by going equipped and making threats. They are discovering that home owners in certain circumstances can protect themselves and the law is backing them up.
