Trump isn’t coming back. I honestly believe he never really wanted to actually win the first time around, he just wanted the publicity and spotlight.

If they had banned him from social media as soon as he entered the White House and he had to actually face doing the job instead - he would have left way before the term was completed.

I think he will make a lot of noise about 2024, and fund a run just (whether it’s him or someone he likes) to unsettle the boat, but I cannot see him wanting to actually do another 4 years restriction in the job itself.
its all about the grift. If he starts his own party as rumoured, it'll be about leeching money from supporters. As it is donations he requested for his "stop the steal" fund to fight the election result were being used to pay for the campaign, meantime over $600m dollars went missing from the campaign in to someones pockets...

As the penny starts top drop on QAnon folk that they've been had he is quickly becoming persona non grata everywhere..
He'll be effectively doing what TV Christian Evangelists do but with a Political bent (i.e. donate here and I'll save you from those Evil Radical Socialists).

I think kamala Harris will be 47th

I think Biden will either be assassinated or die naturally within the next 4yrs
Even though it's the US assassinations are still pretty rare.
The last serious attempt was Regan (?)
Sadly, that's far from the reality.

This list makes for eye-opening reading. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_State...

From the GOP side I think Pompeo is going to be a strong challenger.

Shameless resurrection of own topic.

A week is along time in politics, a few years is, well, a few years.

What price now on "The Donald"

looks like trump again, the court case etc has helped him as the perception is it's the system trying to stop him from being in charge etc

the thing I am the most curious about is how he is going to deal with the russia/ukraine and palestine/israel issues (if he gets in power)

Money has to be on Donald making a comeback. Think the only thing that will stop him is a whackjob with a gun.

Not sure what way I would gamble on Biden physically / mentally making it to November.

Whatever happens its going to be a fun ride.

Trump 2024! hehe

I worry about some people's mental health on here if he is elected.

Its looking like American will be choosing between someone most people dislike, and someone most people loathe.

Both sides are talking about fear "vote for me... or its the end of the world..."

Oh America. How could you get this bad??

Didn't see this thread before, thanks to byker for the link from the other thread, where the usual suspects get worked into a frenzy about trump each day.

I posted two things there today, immediately got banned without explanation as usual. They definitely have a friendly trump hating mod hehe

It's not quite so funny if you have family, work connections and other interests in the USA.

Despite all manner of dire predictions being made at the time, most of them seemed to do reasonably ok between 2016-2020. One suspects much the same will happen over the next presidential term again despite all manner of even more dire predictions being made now....

Not the case if you are, for example, a woman needing to terminate a pregnancy for medical reasons.

Also, not sure if you've read a newspaper or watched TV over the last few years, but he's attempted to end the democratic process in his own country. Call me old-fashioned, but in the past, that would usually have been a bit of a red flag.

I do find it funny how any mention of bidens mental decline is denied by the usual suspects, but they jump on anything trump says wrong as if it's proof he's gone senile.

Individual states passing laws wrt to abortion are a matter for the state concerned rather than the president.

Again, I can only repeat, lots of people cried wolf about how terrible everything would be under trump in 2016. All those dire predictions didn't really turn out as claimed as much as some if not many might have hoped that they would come true to be proven right. Doing so again and cranking up the predictions to be even more dire isn't obviously terribly convincing as much as Trump might be a lousy example of a human being.

What's the chances of this thread avoiding the invariable rabbit-hole descent into a poisonous echo-chamber retread of the 45/46 threads? Same lazy ad-homs by the usual suspects likely to follow, with the inability to countenance any alternative viewpoints to the received orthodoxy.

It would be genuinely refreshing if the US could find candidates who aren't either oblivious octogenarians nor those with enormous actual or perceived baggage who strongly polarise the populace. The country deserves a pair of younger candidates to revitalise the political spectrum.

Not a chance, just a matter of time before the usual suspects are rounded up on here.

Look at the trump thread today, I posted two things and got banned without comment, the things I posted aren't breaking any rules so obviously a tame mod.
Same happened on the biden thread before, hence the name change.

Seems to be the lefts way nowadays, ban or silence any dissent.
They are looking to ban the "right wing" party in Germany for wanting secure borders etc now, conveniently when they are getting good polling.
