You do seem so angry though about a bit of cake and fizz yet blatant defrauding the tax man and, thereby, the tax paying public at large is OK with you.
A bit?! There were 14 'parties', one the night before the Duke Of Edinburghs funeral. Reports of MP's taking suitcases to the local off licence to fill with bottles of wine. Show me a party where the wine needs collecting in a suitcase and I'll be there.I've yet to read any solid evidence that AR has defrauded anyone.

I'm starting to wonder if Keir's team are stirring this one up too. I'm sure he'd love to be rid of her but has no power to fire her.AstonZagato said:

She is currently being investigated for pretty much that.
Investigation doesn’t equal guilt as we were told numerous times on the JCB bloke thread.I don’t *think* that Starmer can actually sack her though. It’s an elected position so she’ll have to either fall on her sword and resign or the NEC has to take a vote to get rid.

Quite.I've yet to read any solid evidence that AR has defrauded anyone.
Downing Street was the most fined workplace in the UK under Covid Legislation whilst Johnson was in charge
For Garvin to try to reduce that to "a bit of cake and fizz" tells you everything you need to know about his own low standards.

The people getting drunk and wheeling suitcases of booze down Whitehall from the Co-Op were all (Lefty) civil servants and admin staff, it had about as much to do with MPs and the Prime Minister as it did with me.

I enjoy a good piss up and don’t get all frothy and envious of others who also enjoy them. At least I don’t participate in tax evasion, nor do I support those who do!Downing Street was the most fined workplace in the UK under Covid Legislation whilst Johnson was in charge

EIther that or he thinks Boris was derelict in not patrolling the corridors like some demented Etonian housemaster!

There's a time and a place for it though and the middle of a pandemic isn't it.It's all in the Sue Gray report.
The fish rots from the head.
