It isn't fair to confine all the blame to the 52% of the 70% who voted leave.
Granted they were fools, but so we're the 30% who didn't bother to vote.
Of the 5 people I know who voted leave.
One was pure racism (ignorance of immigration)
One was just stupidity (had read too much daily mail)
Both of these still believe they were right.
The other 3 have forgotten that they were leavers and claim they voted remain.
More condescending bull***t from a Remoaner.Granted they were fools, but so we're the 30% who didn't bother to vote.

What makes you so much better than the millions of leave voters?

Not voting to leave?
We all have our opinions on whether Brexit was or wasn’t a good thing. I just get fed up with the condescending attitude that over 17 million leave voters were at best naive or thick as mince.Maybe those Remoaners don’t believe in giving normal folk votes so might prefer living in say China or North Korea.

But then your second paragraph doesn't exactly help.

Those who unquestioningly blame everything bad on Brexit, without ever looking beneath the headlines or checking the facts of the matter might be described as having an issue!

No one is suggesting people should not vote for governments who take decisions, just that on something like EU, where the majority have no idea about the complexities, a referendum is a bad idea.

Get out of it. "Remoaners don’t believe in giving normal folk votes", whilst accusing others of being condescending. That's two examples of condescending attitude in one phrase. In that sense he's an absolute hypocrite.
You missed the words "Maybe those" from the front of his quote.. Those two words fundamentally change the meaning of the quote. But you know that.andymadmak said:

I know nothing of the sort. Including "Maybe those" just adds to the sense of condescension. It's sarcastic, unwarranted, and utterly hypocritical. The word Remaoners itself is utterly asinine, implying that there's some section of people who argue for EU membership who would believe in depriving people of votes, and the implication that perhaps they ought to live in North Korea, I mean come one. Stop White Knighting this bullst. What 'bad company' is actually doing is seeking to "embarrass" people into shutting up and keeping their inconvenient truths and opinions to themselves. It's pathetic, and the absolute last resort of those who have nowhere left to turn.
I think you're protesting too much. Deliberately missing those two words off his quote absolutely changes its meaning. It's a shame you want to keep digging this hole, but hey, you do you. Others can decide the merits of our respective positions.andymadmak said:

Indeed, though it’s odd to see the direction some threads take, arguing over the inference of someone else’s words. The assertion that most people have forgotten about Brexit and are just getting on with their lives doesn’t stand up to scrutiny, this thread is one clear example, the consistent nature of the polls another. Anecdotal evidence abounds also, it comes up in conversation quite a lot and is still a toxic subject in some of the circles I mix in, I stay away from discussing it now, except on here obviously. bad company said:

The evidence post Brexit should explain to you why you get a condescending attitude for continuing to defend what is now clearly seen to be damaging to the UK and its interests. bad company said:

Is that an attempt at reasoning?Maybe those Remoaners don’t believe in giving normal folk votes so might prefer living in say China or North Korea.

And to keep it going round in circles, because that's fun....No one is suggesting people should not vote for governments who take decisions, just that on something like EU, where the majority have no idea about the complexities, a referendum is a bad idea.
Who was it that gave the vote and set the rules of it?
Yes, correct. The Remain side.
"It only sounds condescending....". Do you ever repeat what you write to yourself?
