It's approaching 9am and so far no MP has crossed the floor
If it continues like this I think we can all agree that it's been a good day for Rishi
The MPs are staying but the media are ignoring the major players in the local council arena, once this picks up more momentum the MPs are bound to follow :bighlaugh:If it continues like this I think we can all agree that it's been a good day for Rishi

People tend to move to the right when they are scared and defence is usually something Labour struggle with. It's also preparing the ground for an attack on Starmer supporting Corbyn who was obviously very weak on defence and perhaps setting up a comparison between Cameron and Lammy in the Foreign Office.
Defence and foreign affairs are going to be a bigger topic in the next few years so I don't see a reason to not talk about it.
They've rolled out the "but Corbyn" stuff earlier than I expected. Defence and foreign affairs are going to be a bigger topic in the next few years so I don't see a reason to not talk about it.

"Look, I think what the public like in their politicians is consistency, principles, values and integrity and if you're going to try and make Jeremy Corbyn Prime Minister twice, an individual who has wanted to turn the army into a peace corp, wanted to leave NATO, get rid of the nuclear deterrent and then only 5 years later come back and pretend you're the party of defence what I would gently suggest is that the British public are not that stupid... erm... that we need to... erm.... give them a bit more respect... errrrr... and... err... recognise that you Labour will of course say anything, you know they'll accept anybody, say anything, do anything, simply to have a clutch at power and that's why you're seeing them talk about defence now, it's not credible to try and make Jeremy Corbyn Prime Minister twice and less than 5 years later... err... come back and say "ah forget about that we've redesigned ourselves and now we believe in"... <octave shift and finger jabs> what are fundamental principals, these are not policy decisions on a whim, these are fundamental principles around national security, you know"

They soon forget it was the Consvervatives that fixed it for Corbyn to become Labour Leader with their manipulation of the ballot, he was a side figure before that and should only ever have been considered a curious anomoly, much like Rees-Mogg.

He can also state that his OWN report into the Labour party embarrassingly concluded that the anti-Corbyn side of the PLP shamefully weaponised anti-semitism as a way to attack Corbyn.
Starmer is the Anti-Corbyn.
A private source tells me that Rishi will be writing to the BBC about the woke elements in Doctor Who and demanding that the programme returns to its former late 00's glory.
I am reliably informed that after some private surveys have been completed that it is likely to appear in the next Election manifesto.
