I feel your pain bobbers. Words out that I'm back, so I've had three ad hoc meetings to resolve issues that arose whilst was off. I've fixed grandstanding issues, pointed out another wasn't due to some planned work as the faultless been there for 176 days (and why hadn't they spotted that)...
And been lumbered with lots more. However, I've set expectations on timescales

Crikey, I got off lightly. I was just being bked for not having filled in timesheets while I was away. They didn’t seem to have an answer when I pointed out that their policies stopped me taking my IT out of the country.

Twerps. (Such a satisfyingly old fashioned non sweary word starting with ‘tw’).

Mysteriously, we have three ironing boards. And three irons. Four, if you count the old one in the Shed that I use for raising dents in wood.
My newest one is a super-duper monster of a steam generator. Fred Dibnah would have liked it.
Sadly it lacks a whistle.
The day I retired was the day the Memsahib quit ironing bedlinen so I do it.
It's quite therapeutic in its way.
Morning All.

Oh, mate. Tis too late. Pequod has run down the curtain and joined the Choir Invisible. He is no more. He has ceased to be.

Please accept our apologies that this awful event wasn't made plain. Talking in code and relentlessly trying to be amusing has drawbacks in times of seriousness.

A representation from the Trivial Thread are kindly being allowed to attend his funeral by his family.

We will be raising a glass* to the old boy on the 31st of this month.

*Or two.

and no mistake!

The TT community is noticeably the poorer for his untimely passing. I, for one, would dearly love to learn a little more about the man behind
the alias.

My day has actually been inversely proportional to Bobberses.
My titanic battle with the recalcitrant C-Ma_ trackrod end has ended in my favour.
The thread on the inner tie rod was so badly discombobulated that I decided this morning to obtain a brand spanking new replacement rather than attempt to grapple with trying to graunch the new track rod end onto the mangled threads of the old tie rod.
It was a wise decision which paid off with a stunning victory for your long-suffering correspondent.
Everything is now in place ready for me to book an MoT test ASAP, I shall phone the garage first thing when they open at 09:00 hrs tomorrow.
If it passes, then obviously the first thing to sort will be the tracking. Fingers crossed, eh? biggrin

And now, just starting on Film 4, the 185 minute-long epic, "Le Mans '66", starring Christian Bale.

Well worth viewing if you have the stamina! driving

Similar taste, spotted that - it's on and Mrs B has declared shes off to watch TV in Bed.
Cracked open a Duval 666, brought back from Belgium, a lighter brew at 6.66% rather than the tripple D'anvers at 8.5%
Rather a good deal at the time as the packs of 4 were 25% off, so I may have bought a few...

I can mend stuff, me.

Thanks Dicky for the calendar notification. I will be sure to pause and consider.
And no mistake.

Good choices, Byker. beer
There are certainly worse places than Belgium from which to obtain stocks of proper beer. wink

Whereas I, on the other hand, have to content myself with a few glasses of Erdinger Alkoholfrei.
It's a sacrifice I am forced to make, but I can take it. drink
Good film, eh? driving

Not sure how I've started an argument last night. It all quickly escalated, from me saying, "Well you need to decide what car you want first" to 30 mins later her sating. "I'm.all alone in this world"

Morning. Strength to all of those struggling on with work challenges today, we’re relying on you to get through. To the retirees rest as you have done your bit for King and Country. To those in between, the fence will not hold your weight much longer so you’ll have to jump one way or the other but we’re right behind you either way.

Your Wednesday reminder and way point is here, fret not.

Tip run, birdy seed purchase and friends visiting for lunch today. Mrs H very busy in the home salon, another o and that would be a saloon, she would make a very busty barmaid.

Aldi sell Erdinger Weissbier Wheat Beer in a 500ml bottle which isn't bad.
Great film, fully engrossed so went to bed rather late...

Today I sit. Firstly in a car for 2 hours, then in a meeting room for 8 hours, then the car once more for another 2.

Yey.
