The official winter rain, wind, snow and ice thread 2023/24
Discussion
We were meant to be going to Keswick on Saturday in our campervan, we usually go up there at this time of year for a week. The forecast is wet, windy and bloody cold, so I rang up to rearrange but it turns out that the campsite was evacuated last night due to flooding anyway. Rebooked for 27th - the weather has to improve by then, right? Right??
Must admit I’ve always been a ‘UK holidays are fine!’ person mainly due to us having family in St Ives where it’s glorious on a sunny day. They are pretty rare but when they happen I’d not rather be many other places.
But this year I truly understand why so many people fk off to somewhere warm on holiday. This winter has felt LOOOOONNG as fk

Obviously it's been raining all day here in South Wales.
April so far... 50mm rain and 0 dry days. The average for April is 70mm. It seems inevitable that April will end up with massively more rain than average given we're only 1/3rd of the way through and already at 70% average rainfall!

My little dog was almost getting trampled on when we visited last July.
The cruffin was bloody good though
I'm feeling a bit paranoid as when I look on the Met Office App at the weather radar the rain is always heading my way. In the last 6 months I can't think of 2 consecutive days there hasn't been heavy rain. Supposed to be dry today but its missing down again.
Forecast now only has 2 options,
1. It's raining...
2. It's going to rain...

We've had a few days doing a clockwise touring route of Norfolk & Suffolk, with pub stop overs in our campervan. The just a shirt weather has been glorious, easily the best since last Autumn.
Yes, the last few days have been perfect. We were in Walberswick and Southwold this morning.
Had I known that you were close to where i live, we could've met up to discuss flanges.
