Shouldn't go wrong with Mann, Fram, Bosch, Crossland, Motorcraft (ford etc), AC Delco?
Blue print is a new one on me, maybe the cars I've had, but internet suggests they are fine.

Fram are decent, but wouldn't touch Crossland. Their filters disintegrate prematurely on an alarmingly regular basis. Blue print is a new one on me, maybe the cars I've had, but internet suggests they are fine.

Euro brought the name back to trade on nostalgia....
Ah yes, your right. Was a proper filter manufacturer, then got sold to Sogefi who own Fram etc, closed a major UK factory in 2005, stopped making under that brand in 2010, then sold it to ECP three years later. Crafty buggers!
So they where good, then years ago, but have been shte for the last seven.

Yes, Crosland just trading on an old name. Best avoided now in my opinion, Cheap for a reason.
Blueprint filters are good though.
ETA Always been good for Japanese/Korean and far east stuff generally, now more mainstream. Quality has always been good.

Fram are decent,
Not in my experience, stopped using them years ago. I remember buying a service kit for a previous cars and the filters were all FRAM, and after comparing them to the originals they clearly had significantly less filter media (fewer/shallower pleats) so I didn't bother using any of them. This video shows the inside of a Fram oil filter compared to other manufacturers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTNJLEV8CG8I remember buying Blueprint oil filters for a Toyota I used to own and they were the exact same part that a Toyota dealer would sell you, but in a Blueprint box.

I thought Fram were now junk from what I’ve read online, they used to be the dogs many years ago from what I remember.
Still see them under some high end car bonnets such as Ferrari on some car shows I watch.
This brand is owned by euro car parts these days Still see them under some high end car bonnets such as Ferrari on some car shows I watch.
Probably made in china under lisence for them
Can't be true. I think the only link can be that Sogefi owned both Fram and Crosland for a while, the later now being ECP. I also didn't realise Sogefi had sold Fram too. Presumably now low quality as per YouTube videos.
I really struggle to understand the logic between making cardboard oil filters, with half the filter material, and drain back valves which don't work. It's almost fraud.

I cant comment on whether Wix are owned by Mann or not but have used Wix filters a fair ammount. Their manufactured in one of the Eastern European countries. I wouldnt use Wix filters on Vauxhall engines, I have experience with Wix oil filters disintegratingon removal in Vauxhall engines too often to feel confident using them, no problem on any other car.
