It's a contributer as the eastern races are always quieter, but I haven't seen a race thread this quiet since 2004, and we only had 30,000 members then, now we have 403,000 members so by rights we should be on page 13 to be equal with a one page thread from 2004.

Even F1Technical has taken a small hit with their Korean thread at 19 pages and their Japanese thread on page 6 but PH has had a double whammy where that many regulars are just pissed off with the persistent trolling, bickering and baiting and have gone to another website.
Thanks for that upfront honest appraisal. Let's hope it proves an eventful practice & race and the trolling etc is not allowed to fester and valued contributors return.

So with massa putting himself in the shop window, what can we expect from him? I suspect he needs to shine brighter than the Hulk this w/e.

I think that is unfair and not supportable unless you are implying that all the trolls etc have gone elsewhere too?

There is clearly a lack of interest and why wouldn't there be? Both championships are decided, the races are still stultified by unsuitable tyres and gimmicks. Next year brings much change and is where many fans are pinning their hopes and interest.

I've missed only a few GPs over the past 30 years or so since it was televised. Wherever I've been I've made a real effort to see the races live and if I haven't I wouldn't have been best pleased.

I type this lying next the pool at my hotel in Sicily. I have no idea if or where I could see this race live but in all honesty I don't really care. I'll watch the recording when I get home and won't feel I've missed anything.

As I've said elsewhere 2013 is done, and best out of the way. Roll on 2014 and let's hope it meets with expectation for once.

Thanks for the help.

Only an hour between qualifying and race? Well that should spice things up! wink

I will then, put the telly on when I wake up and watch what's on if it's not over.

I could t care much about Bahrain, Korea, India, Abu Dhabi etc but regardless of how predictable the championship might be is I always have time for the Japanese GP, Suzuka is a superb circuit.

Let's keep it a silent protest then eh? Leave this thread for people who do want to watch it instead of dragging it down with negativity.

I am definitely looking forward to it, a fantastic circuit and always a great race. I don't care who wins.

Assuming a Vettel mechanical failure or incident, possible.

But I think he has lost that key 1% since he announced he was leaving.

Well as Newey said - he is spending 4/5 days on the RB10... so I guess not many cycles left to isolate Marks specific issues...

The degnas ate a few this morning biggrin i allways love those 2 corners, 130R is a bit boring nowdays but still a thrill to watch 2 cars going into it in a battle simply cos you know there aint no way 2 will make it out the other side.

The BBC said they were going to speak to Christian Horner, but haven't, moved on to McLaren instead, and accused Whitmarsh of being naughty, presumably due to the comments, or lack of them, about who is coming to the team!

Edited to add that Whitmarsh confirmed that Red Bulls aerodynamicist (Pedro ?) has signed a contract with McLaren but wouldn't say when he was coming as Red Bull needed to announce that.
