He'd look equally ridiculous praising Putin or Kim Jong-il...
The mistake is considering their position over and above an F1 driver. You’re very quick to defend LH over his nutty comments, so give Lando a break.
What nutty comments ?

Lewis doesn't need Newey or Ferrari, he has the big man on his side

Could this help us move on from political ramblings?

How was it, and did you manage to eat for less than $300?
We got a paddock package, so food was no issue. Just the initial hit that the credit card took.

The weekend was absolutely great. Seeing Lando get his first win was a fantastic memory.

That really is a result and makes it very much worth the $$$ I bet! It was an interesting weekend throughout actually, by this seasons standards.. smile

Saying hello to Alonso in the AM paddock was cool too. My Wife has no sense of camera opportunities so that nugget wasn't immortalized.

A combination of a good race,
Whilst I'm thrilled for Lando and Mclaren I didn't think it was a good race to be honest , its was ok but very little overtaking , even Lando commented he didn't think he had overtaken anyone on track

Shame for the lost Alonso shot, can feel for that as it happened to me at Austria 1981 with Gilles Villeneuve, was so mesmerised to be standing next to him and couldn't move as my mate tried to get us both on camera but couldn't... no smartphones back then of course, but still...

Great pics, thanks for posting, seemed you both had a really good time, great!

Lando didn’t need to overtake anyone, he managed to save his tyres and stay out longer than everyone else in his race, and was able to take the cheap pit stop when the opportunity presented itself.

Behind him, there were plenty of other good battles throughout the race, and more than a few overtakes on track. I thought it was exciting from start to finish, especially when it became clear that MV wasn’t just going to scuttle half a minute up the road, and was pushing so hard he made a rare (for this season) mistake at the chicane.
