I think it's unfair that everyone has to pay the congestion charge.
You should be allowed xx free journeys in a month - Like if you only go to london a few times a year, why should you have to pay towards the 'congestion' that is mostly buses, lorries and fking addison Lee people carriers?
I get 'you are not stuck in traffic, you ARE traffic' but to charge someone the same as someone that is regularly congesting london is a bit much.
in other news, my friend found out to his cost what the 'low emissions zone (LEZ)' is all about.
£500 fine, PER DAY for driving an old van (2004 transit 3.6 ton) into london. Sorry, when i say london i mean ROMFORD. yes, the LEZ starts at romford.
Not everyone has to pay. After all, hybrids and electric cars are free since they don't cause any congestion......You should be allowed xx free journeys in a month - Like if you only go to london a few times a year, why should you have to pay towards the 'congestion' that is mostly buses, lorries and fking addison Lee people carriers?

slightly off topic but...

Particularly this quote- "Another benefit of diesel engines is they reach their most efficient operating temperature in about half the time of a petrol unit"

What an idiot. You missed the end off that sentance btw http://www.edp24.co.uk/home/motoring/fuelling_the_...

"Another benefit of diesel engines is they reach their most efficient operating temperature in about half the time of a petrol unit so emit less carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and lead".
Finally we have transmutation. Just it appears from black gold to lead rather than the alchemists preferred lead to gold...
The other quote that got me "CO2 is bad for the ozone layer", just goes to show you don't have to do well at school to be successful.
