anyone know if any of sbarro's creations got sold to the public?
The Sbarro Stash seems to have beeen made in some numbers, even if they are miniscule (a quick google says 5). 14 examples of the Windhound were said to be made. Also, Sbarro made GT40 & BMW 328 Roadster replicas, I am pretty sure that those sold in much larger quantities.

Has that actually been made? Was it roadworthy?Did the CEO ever come back ... ? Might explain why the production car was not quite what everybody was expecting.

Has that actually been made? Was it roadworthy?Yes - the concept was apparently a full working roadworthy machine but with unresolved suspension.
It also had a 400BHP Maserati V8…
I put my deposit down based on that prospect.
… and asked for it back when the production one arrived with a two.point.nothing engine, and stumpy looks.

I've never really understood that. Alfa said at the time that the Italdesign Alfa Brera would never reach production "in this form". The running gear more-or-less reached production in the 8C, and the mistake I think they made was calling the production car Brera - if it had been called the <whatever> I reckon people might have been delighted that it took so many styling cues from the Brera concept, rather than complaining that the £24k production car didn't have carbonfibre bodywork, gullwing doors, and a 400bhp V8. It also had a 400BHP Maserati V8…

I suppose the 8C Competizione was the closest thing in terms of technical specification to the concept Brera, and IMO, even better-looking too.

My thoughts were based on a couple of things, ie what people have paid for Jensen cars in recent times, and personal experience of FF restoration costs. My dad had an FFIII restored by Cropredy Bridge 2002/3 and was @ 35k on top of the purchase price of good sound usable car. FFIII are v.rare as there were only 15 of them, so command a premium on the premium you pay for an FF1 or II
I don't know enough about the value of genuine built by the man Kieth Black engine, ie what his name brings in terms of added value to the car, I guess if you could point us in the direction of some sold at auction say it would help. quick google shows me £20k will buy a new hemi crate motor with similar power numbers.
It does depend entirely on what the seller believes the car is worth, ie a starting price - and what the market is willing to pay, most owners spend the £75k money for the look of the Italian designed car, with it's trade mark fishbowl tail, the plastic William Townsend design isn't as handsome IMHO as the FF or Interceptor
