this is a big graceless disco mobile for rappers.
A disco mobile for rappers? That's like saying a church hall for death metal or a mosh pit for ambient musicians.Either you're really really old (given hiphop's roots are from disco) or... I'm not sure what else to say other than that statement makes literally zero sense.

At least the headlights are the right shape for the Chinese market.
Hol upI hope that it sells very well, and that they make a lot of money from it, but I agree with those turned away by the looks, I just don’t like it at all.
It feels a bit of a strange car, too, when their saloons are quite similar in concept and size. It’s not an exact analogy, but it feels a little like small hatchbacks being jacked up and having some black plastic “rugged” plastics attached in that the extra height and mass aren’t adding much to a “normal” RR.

at least Ferrari made an effort with the Purelysanguine.
Not sure what you're on about when it comes to thinking Ferrari really 'made an effort'.The Purosangue is essentially a GTC4 Lusso (itself a modified FF) on stilts and the Cullinan did the "SUV has suicide rear doors" thing first.

I think I'd rather have the Chinese take on a luxury SUV, the Hongqi HS9. The Rolls looks bloody awful, I actually thought it was some sort of joke/far East rip off when I saw the pic.
The Global VP of Design and Chief Creative Officer for China FAW Group is Giles Taylor, and he is responsible for the direction in looks for FAW's Hongqi.Taylor was previously Director for Design at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. The Cullinan was designed on his watch.

What a perfect spec for the UAE!
Biggest market for Cullinan is USA....But it still doesn't detract from the fact that the UAE is NOT the Cullinan's biggest market.
The cliché is the way the ignorant blindly trot out any large/powerful SUV is purely aimed at the ME.

Maybe I’m in the minority here but if BMWs monstrosities have done anything it’s make this look a tad more subdued.
I’d be interested to know what Rolls’ traditional clientele (that are by all accounts so vital to them) think of the styling choices of the new breed of owner and overall affect on brand appeal, whilst they might have no interest in Cullinan and prefer Phantoms and Boat tails, I have seen so many Mansory-rivalling levels of distaste in interior colours in Cullianans and Ghots it’s unreal, some people really do have terrible taste
Perhaps just glad that their chosen brand is so financially robust, hitting record sales numbers with a performing dealer network and back at the cutting edge of key markets?I’d be interested to know what Rolls’ traditional clientele (that are by all accounts so vital to them) think of the styling choices of the new breed of owner and overall affect on brand appeal, whilst they might have no interest in Cullinan and prefer Phantoms and Boat tails, I have seen so many Mansory-rivalling levels of distaste in interior colours in Cullianans and Ghots it’s unreal, some people really do have terrible taste

I've just come back from Dubai, and yes you are right, although very few Cullinans compared to other high-end SUVs, and compared to my corner of the UK.

TBF the OP didn't say that the UAE is the biggest market, only that this car is the perfect spec for the UAE. Which is almost is (the seats need to be tan, or if you're feeling sporty, red).....But it still doesn't detract from the fact that the UAE is NOT the Cullinan's biggest market.
