I kept mine 2 months, hated how it drove. great engine that's it.
I would take a 991.2 GTS as a daily. 991.1 EPS is utter dire crap.
You really don't have a clue and talk utter nonsense. I was talking to a rather famous chap last week who has driven more metal than you could ever dream off, the chat was about how good the 991.1 GTS is and how Porsche went downhill from there on (GT Motorsport cars excluded from that).I would take a 991.2 GTS as a daily. 991.1 EPS is utter dire crap.
It's an oddly specced car that. Many 'must have' GTS options missing inc the interior pack and leather dash etc.
Barring that they are superb cars, drove mine recently around Scotland and it is impressive cable and very very quick. It was a joy. the dot 1 is a different proposition and has the sound but not the speed of the dot 2.
Great cars! Possibly one of the most capable road going modern 911's of recent years. Oh, and pretty much as quick on track as GT3. They really are a very capable package.

I own a .1 and concur its a marvellous sports car and I used to hold the view it was slower than the .2 after a few passenger rides in a friends; however after a road trip last year over a number of days and hundreds of miles the .1 is definately not slower, more dependent on gear and revs yes, but when your properly 'driving' theres nothing in it.mikeh501 said:

Had my manual 991.2 GTS a little over a month now. Done nearly 2000 driving the Wild Atlantic Way in western Ireland.
It can be a real Jekyll/Hyde car in so much as it’s a really relaxing & comfortable long distance cruiser then put it into sport+ & give it a few revs then all hell breaks loose(in a good way).
Economy is surprisingly good & very little oil used- from 100% to about 75% on the digital dipstick.
I’m always very careful with the oil temperature before using a lot of boost & ‘warm down’ on the last few miles of any drive.

What sort of MPG are you getting?
Have you had any preventative work done to the turbos? Or do you have an OPC warranty?
28-33 depending on the road conditions: But I don’t try hard for economy.Have you had any preventative work done to the turbos? Or do you have an OPC warranty?
It’s 1 month into a 2 year OPC warranty; has had a turbo replacement, just gone through 12000 miles.
I don’t see why the turbos are so expensive to fix- I’ve done a supercharger & 2 turbo conversions on other cars. They weren’t expensive to do. Plus there are plenty of options for rebuilds & upgrades.
