I collect my new F12 in 3 weeks. There is plenty of google and forum chat about 430/458/California remote valve control, but very little on F12. I have ordered the Capristo remote valve control as that seems the best of all worlds - loud all the time even in Wet mode on the Mannetino if you want, up to Sport and quiet. ie it delinks the vehicle dynamics from the exhaust control.

Has anyone installed or had a dealer install one on an F12? If so how long did it take and is the noise to your liking post install. I'm coming from an Aston V12 Vantage with QuickSilver Supersport, which was awesomely brilliant....

I've not looked on my F12, but on my 430 and 599 I just pulled the pipes off of the valves and plugged them with a screw, and was much cheaper and easier than the remote system install. Assume F12 is the same.

The F12 is quite quiet by default, however when the valves do open its still not that loud around town, but maybe harsh on a long motorway journey. It is however a more pure natural V12 sound than the Aston and even the 599 GTO IMO.

I must be getting old as I'm quite happy with the standard quiet setup!!

Hah! Comes to us all. I will try the removal of the vacuum lines first to see if its ever too loud, and if so fit the controller.

I had the valves opened permanently on my 599, It was just far too quiet as standard. Having said that I never once found it too loud with the valves open. So maybe try doing that before installing the kit.

Just had the vacuum lines disconnected by a local indie Aston Martin specialist. Awesome. Not too loud at all, just nice. Very easy to lower the undertray, disconnect the blue vacuum lines from valves, plug holes and done. Lovely. Dealer staff thought it sounded great but weren't allowed to do it themselves.

Amazing car, really would love one of those! Any sound bites of your V12 with the QuickSilver system? Would love to hear that roar for sure.

Look forward to seeing the new car and wish you well.
