I haven't taken many yet but these give an idea.

That’s one of the best contrast combinations on the LC.
Well done sir.
That's lovely. Steering wheels is in an odd location though..
Local dealer demo was green over tan - it's an epic combo, really metallic-ey in the sun.
<checks photo closely to make sure there's no hybrid badge>
<approved>
Sterring wheel is like that to let the driver exit I would have thought?
I suspect it was the LHD element that he was commenting on but, yes, you're right. The steering column tilts and/or the seat reverses to let the more fuller-bodied chaps get in and out.

Yeah it was the wrong wheel drive I was getting at.
There are actually two settings for the slidey tiltey access thing - ‘fuller bodied’ and ‘I think we’ll have to remove the bedroom wall to get the crane in’. I’m managing with fuller bodied so far…

I'm still getting to grips with the settings, and don't (yet) need the seat to slide back too. The user-interface is pretty poor but I gather from other owners that you soon get used to it. My daily is a BMW and the touch screen in that is miles better than this.

The touchpad is an acquired taste but yes you do get used to it. At least it gives some feedback to your finger - I watched throttlehouse’s review of the Roma and the controls on that are hilarious. At the other end of the scale I came from a Maserati Grancabrio that didn’t even have proper satnav - the LC is much better. It’s better than more modern stuff like Tesla too as there are clear and obvious buttons for most things except the seat heating,
Plus point is climate concierge - set and forget, then just alter the temp to suit and it’ll add seat or wheel heating or cooling etc as it thinks best. Works very well.

I hardly ever use the touch pad.

I have a theory that in the UK, it's more difficult to use as most people are right handed.

And it’s the same in Japan - they’re a RHD market too.
2024 model will get a glued on touchscreen at (imho) the expense of dash design.
Only thing that slightly annoys me is no seat heating/cooling physical switches but I suppose the climate concierge removes the need for seat controls 99% of the time.

Standard fit Apple'n'android 2021 onwards. Earlier ones can't be retrofitted, at least not UK models.

Be aware that the LC. like other models, is vulnerable to theft within 1-2 minutes via the canbus access at the wheelarch. Having said that, it seems that Lexus themselves aren't averse to a bit of theft, going on the parts prices quoted in this thread.
The first nicked uk LC was only stolen recently and then recovered from a shipping container last week bound for Dubai.
Mine has a tracker fitted - most Lexus probably do for the insurers - for £100 extra iirc it has an immobiliser included. No fob, no theft.
What bugs me is the likely damage an attempted theft would cause so I’m looking at adding either a cat 2 immobiliser or a 2-1 canbus alarm upgrade. Something that is visible in some way - led or immobiliser touchpoint on the dash.
Parts prices - yeah they’re probably expensive, but with a ten year warranty I’m hoping to avoid the parts department for another few years…
I wasn't aware of the potential theft issue on these as having just had my F-Pace SVR nicked off my drive, I'm wary of buying something attractive to the scrotes that inhabit this lawless island. It's still on my shortlist though.
