Great to see your Marshall-amp and the small lego on the chassis!
What type of engine is that?
Will you adjust the new engine position by lengthening the drive shaft?
Hallo Martin,What type of engine is that?

yep ! The lego is my son's daily stuff and the marshall is my weekend toy.
Engine is the 1200 cc Ford pre-Xflow Anglia engine.
Driveshaft have to be adjusted to the engine position.

Hi
I'm at roughly the same state with my Mk2 restoration. Just about to bond the body back on after basically rebuilding the frame and suspension. I can see on one of the pictures in this post that it seems like you have some new tie rod ends at the front. I've been looking for a source for these. Any clues on where to get them ?
Thanks,
Olav, Denmark

Right !! Here the modification on the exhaust to make space for the supercharger.
Supercharger positioned.
Exhaust manifold finished.
Propshaft had to be modified because engine position is more to the front to make space between tapered chassistubes for shorrock supercharger
TBC
Finally.....body in place

Did you cut the body behind the b-pillar or are you using a replacement-section?
Well, what happened is, the midsection was so bad and in a horrible condition that I had to cut it off. So the original '59 GRP parts are the tail, the bonnet and the doors. The body part you see on the pics , except for doors and yellow tail is a replacement from a MK2 which I had on shelf for many years. I glue the pieces together and will stay there for the next 50 years. And, important to say, the top of the dashboard will also be removed because the Mk1 dashboard top was completely different. And offcourse I do have the original MK1 dash incl.original gauges.Did you cut the body behind the b-pillar or are you using a replacement-section?
I am picking up the restoration again after 1 year doing other things.
Started to line-up the belts for the Shorrock.
10mm out of line. I think I have to bend the white bracket 10 mm forward to bring the "double pulleys in line.
This is cheaper than making a custom new pulley for the shorrock I think.
Anyway, I am back in restoration and planning to have the car re-sprayed this year.

Gentleman,
I do need some dimensions for my MK1.
I am fitting the rear end to the body and it does not fit very well.
The rear lights are a lot lower (7 cm) than normal. So I need some measuments to check if the rear end is in the right position.
I kindly ask some MK1 owners to do some measurements on their car.
please see my drawing.
Dimension A is the space between floor and sill.
Dimension B is distance between centre lower light and floor
Dimension C is distance from front window to rear screen. Measured from joglle to joglle (see sketch).
Dimension D is the measured on the narrowest place.
Dimension E is the shortest distance.
Many thanks
William

hi cantus you brave man' there are 2 critical dimensions you need,1 is the distance from the back of the roof to the top of the back section, so that the rear screen fits in correctly, and 2 the distance from what you have marked as E* to the lower rear light, this will establish the wheel arch is the correct opening and if you are wondering, i've done a few wipe out repairs on these in my past, and no i'm not doing anymore. best regards keith
that is not really the case because I did not touch the window surrounding.Davelooky said:
