Good job!
With a PHer sponsoring British GT and a PHer winning British GT, here's hoping PH take notice and provide alot more coverage this year.
Thank you! With a PHer sponsoring British GT and a PHer winning British GT, here's hoping PH take notice and provide alot more coverage this year.
That is a very good point and one I hope editorial pick up on.
With a PHer champion last year, a PHer sponsoring it this year (and the same PHer sponsoring the Finance forum on PH itself) I would hope PH would take advantage of this.
I, for example, made sure that PH was mentioned in the press release and subsequent media coverage. On the media day we will hit this home further.
It would be a missed opportunity if PH did not focus on this.

I'm only here from the swimming pool thread.
Great news for you - always enjoyed your input to the Forum. Never really been in to car racing (username gives a hint)!

That thread was great fun and I have very fond memories of it. I can't believe it was 3 years ago this year!
Cheers

As a IM client and PH are you emailing us with details of tickets etc or do you need us to email in?
thx
Nik will be in touch over the next day or two about the complementary VIP tickets.thx
Just get back to him with your preferred race and they will magically appear on your doorstep in March!
All tickets left over will be offered here and on the IM thread on a first come first served basis.
Well done Julian,I also popped in here after keeping up with the pool thread.
Very exciting I must say so it's a chapeau young sir.
I've had a mooch around your IM site and I like it,mainly because even a dope like me can understand it.
I'm not in a position yet to invest in anything as I'm trying to sell a few bits in France(fat chance) but it's interesting.
Will I need a uk address?

I really hope they pay attention to who is actually using this site. This is a money pit if they exploit it correctly. I've already invested a fortune simply based on piston heads and the people who use it.With a PHer sponsoring British GT and a PHer winning British GT, here's hoping PH take notice and provide alot more coverage this year.

Just as an FYI I work for scalextric. We always produce models of British GT cars, this seasons will be released in 2021.
If you want a couple with your logo across the windshield drop me a pm here and I can sort some. We always supply the teams and British gt/sro themselves so happy to extend the courtesy.
Thanks
Simon

Thank you very much!
It is very exciting and I am sure you know that I am only doing this because I love it.
We are about a month away from opening out international division. France has ridiculous tax demands (30% on any gains on your UK assets, though offset against any UK taxation) if you are a tax resident there.
As and when you consider this then give me a shout and I will assist in this.
Cheers!

To follow magoo's point, is there an option to add UK investments in GBP with new ones in euros?
We currently only work in Sterling. We can work in any currency you like though, but (obviously) you would have to cover the exchange rate. For PH Equity, for example, the FX costs of dealing in the US listed stocks is massive (and a reason we have a minimum investment requirement and an initial charge - both of which are waived for PHers).
The fact is that, setting aside the cost of us running/managing your money, we have costs to pay in doing this. No one lets us trade, deal and convert for free.
So the long and short of it is that when we make it free for you, it just means we are paying for it for you!

I don't think i saw even a mention on PH when 3 amateurs were side by side going through Eau Rouge at Spa and all three came out of it unscathed. In fact the amateur driving last year was far more entertaining (and of a better quality than the professionals in some cases) from a spectator's point of view and some of the most competitive motorsport i have seen in years. So again, superb choice of sponsorship.
Unfortunately, i am invested with Mattioli Woods (who were sponsoring the winning car), but i will be sure to give IM a look over.

I think "cash cow" was more what you were going for, unless you have lost a ton of money on your investments.
Don't read on if you don't want to be mansplained to (apologies again):
A money pit would be an asset that requires a lot of resources and money, but only offers a small return or simply retains the original value (or possible loses value). It is literally throwing good money after bad, like gambling or a protected house with major structural issues or a "project car".
A cash cow would be an investment that provides a steady source of income and is general bomb proof to most market fluctuations.

You are, of course, correct. Posting intelligent content whilst on the gin is not a good plan. I think "cash cow" was more what you were going for, unless you have lost a ton of money on your investments.

Excellent work/coverage BTW.
