I think he is the latest hate figure for the public. I'm sure Massa will be glad, as it takes any hatred from being heaped onto him.
Maldonado was wrong at Spa last year, and was punished. He was also punished for the last race. Today's I cogent was a simple racing I cident. He had the inside, and the racing line, and it was simply a case of a twitchy car that meant he collided with Perez. There was no maliciousness, or deliberate intent involved. It wasn't a dangerous crash, so I think folks are really going to town over this for no reason. Talks of bans, etc. is ridiculous, and talk of a ban for the collision today is frankly absurd.

He is a dangerous driver. He's got a real problem with his aggression and quite frankly should of gotten a race ban for driving into Perez. Let's not forget he did the same thing to Lewis in Spa last year.

don't forget monaco this year either... (with perez again)
I don't think that was a big deal, to be honest. LooLed like he misjudged the rear of the car. Either way, there were plenty of collisions last year, many ridiculous, but as I said, it seems Mal is the hate figure of the moment. It seems that the public require someone to dispise. It was Massa, now it is Mal. AlpineWhite said:
PM shouldn't hold a superlicense, in my opinion. Perhaps his financial, er, contribution, to Williams is substantial enough to curry favour with the powers that be. (yes, tin hat is well and truly on )
Not the first time someone has helped finance the show. It's been going on for years. As for deliberately running into an opponent he is not the only one that is currently in F1 with that offence on his record. Not that this was deliberate today, just making a small mistake on cold tyres. TheHeretic said:

He definitely needs a hefty penalty.
He keeps getting away with it - Spa last year, Moncao this year were utterly unacceptable IMHO. I've no doubt he'll do it again either.
Well, of Valencia was anything to go by, at Monaco he was the car ahead, and was perfectly able to take his racing line, (that was the reason given that Hamilton squeezed Maldonado off circuit), so of we are being consistent, what did Mal do wrong then? Maldonado needed at least a race ban for the Spa incident, but I think a lot of other incidents are made a meal of by a certain group of fans. He isn't the first driver to be involved a lot in incidents, and he won't be the last.
Just tap in to google Maldonado crash - and see how many incidents he's had !

Amazing that he didn't kill anyone

Comes over a crest of a hill, and discovers a car in the way, and loses control trying to avoid. It's a bad crash, but I don't think he was going any faster than anyone else, he just had the misfortune of a car directly in his path after a blind crest.Every seen this one ? World Series by Renault

Today was quite clearly a racing incident where he lost the back end while defending his position and was just unlucky.
Valencia he should have rejoined the track in a safer manner and waited for the next chance to pass a struggling Hamilton.
Monaco and Spa were completely different though and hitting someone on purpose is worthy of a ban IMO.
I do seem to remember that in the year he won the GP2 championship he was great at the races he lead from the front, but had quite a few incidents when getting through the pack.
