Alfa Romeo Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde (Launch edition)
Discussion
I think these remap quite easily to 280bhp; although best be sure it's all running right before doing that.
I've always liked the looks of these, but in my opinion the interior isn't a patch on the brera/159 era. If they'd released the Brera with the auto gearbox and Tbi engine it would have been car perfection.

I've got one going cheap, it opens but doesn't pop up as one of the spring went missing. The clips are honestly a pile of ste and a replacement box is about £120 for a dealer.
My glue fix does seem to be working for now. Although I won't be opening it again! I'll find somewhere else for my sunglasses. The inner door handles also seem quite flimsy. CarlosSainz100 said:

I am tempted by a remap, can imagine it would be quite lively with that, it's pretty rapid as standard, and the TCT remapped as well. Agreed there, I've always liked these externally, but the 159 interior was stunning, and well built as well. No aluminium in here This interior doesn't look too bad, but doesn't seem well made in some parts.
The day before I went to view this, a 159 SW, with the tbi, and in competition Red turned up ok Facebook, I was very tempted, but it was in gournsy, also needed paint work.
It did consider the Brera as well, but don't think it would have worked space wise with the kids unfortunately

The main reason I don't have a Brera is I need an automatic cus of my knee otherwise I'd have bought one by now. I saw Harry's review of the Giulietta a few years back and remember how much he praised the fast steering
It is a shame they didn't do the Auto in the Brera, considering they had one in the 159 at the time. To be honest, it was Harry's review that swayed me. I was looking at the GTi, and when the twin review him and his son came up, that made up my mind. Considering some of the cars he's driven as well.

Lovely looking car.
Before i got my Leon FR i did look at a few of these, but never materialised as i wanted a Manual and the later examples where only TCT, but in typical fashion I ended up with a DSG with the Leon!
I they did have the manual in the earlier 1.75, but that wasn't the aluminium block one from the 4C. It is a shame they didn't carry on with the manual with the 2014 generation Before i got my Leon FR i did look at a few of these, but never materialised as i wanted a Manual and the later examples where only TCT, but in typical fashion I ended up with a DSG with the Leon!
I think the DSG is a better unit than the TCT from what I've read though! I do like the Leon.

This was mine. 2015 QV line. Beautiful car. Much more of an occasion than a golf.
The "QV Line" strangely has a better interior than the QV. I had the Tan leather interior as below. I do crave a QV again. Would probably swap out the interior for the brown though
Strangely, the launch edition didn't come with all quite a few options, like xenons etc, I thought they would have loaded it up.
Back to standard inside now. Never really liked the look of the carbon wrap in there, it looked like a strange texture when close up. I prized off the panels off with surprising ease, then took a hair dryer to it, and peeled it off..
As there's a lot of black external trim, some of its starting to look a bit pale, I need to look into a decent trim restorer.

Is the Verde the one you could get with green tyres originally or did I imagine that?
I've not not seen that when on my research sessions, There is this though

Really like that (ops car) going to be on the look out for one now.
I see number 42 is for sale on ebay but its a Cat N.
I would highly recommend one, great find to drive, great induction noise (apparently genuine noise, just piped through)I see number 42 is for sale on ebay but its a Cat N.

And in dynamic mode really makes a difference.
There doesn't seem to be many for sale, an yes, I saw the cat N one, it looks good though. There are a couple of Matt grey ones. I wouldn't recommend the 93,000 mile one, felt very tired, gearbox not smooth, and hesitated on boost, I did mention it to them, but they didn't see bothered.
And another 90k mile one grey one, that looks good.
There does seem to be another one, in grey with Red leather, that's not a launch edition.
I'm on a couple of Giuletta FB pages, cars do pop up for sale on there.
Also, the 2014 onwards QV (later named Valoce) is basically the same car, minus the black body parts, I just like a plaque!

The car seems to have developed a rattle (or always had one and I didn't notice) coming from the front right, also the handling is good but doesn't seem as sharp as it could be!
I've taken it to my local garage (easier than going to the specialist now!) The right side anti roll bar link has had it, and the left isn't much better. Luckily they're not too much,
Hopefully the rattle will all be gone, and the handling will be tighter afterwards.
One thing I want to do is remove the number plate plinth, and get a neater plate, I've seen on the forums, you can get shorter ones on size, but still legal text,
Also, it seems to be wonky, which is annoying from some angles..
I've also got my eye on this for the future,
240 to 294hp, and they do a gearbox map,
