Impulse purchased a set of Titanium wheel bolts today.

Much lighter than the standard ones.

Performance enhancement negligible, bragging rights... priceless. biggrin

Have you been to Cornwall recently? I swear I spotted this car a few weeks back.. I live in St Ives and spotted near to Lelant.

Great thread & beautiful car. I'm not that much a fan of black cars, not because I think its dull, but IMO it 'hides' the car, but your 348 in black looks the business, wears the colour very nicely.

Gotta give credit to you for your enthusiasm even after the fire, that would have disheartened me big time.

Never had the chance to visit Cornwall unfortunately.

Got the car back a week ago. Big engine out cambelt service. Don't ask how much!!!!

Didn't put the 355 under floor panels on the car so put them in storage to do another day.

Car was lowered a little more. I'd like it a little lower, but will need to get new springs for it.

The new titanium wheel bolts are now on as well.

Slight weight saving, but I really got it as I like bling. Plus they won't corrode like the chrome ones which is a bonus.

Old corroded ones

Only big mod I did this time was the kevlar clutch. A friend was selling them so I thought I'd give it a go.

The spare set of 355 wheels are now being painted gold. Took a while before I got it down to either the Speedline wheels gold or the BBS gold. In the end, I decided to paint them the same gold shade as the stripe that I "may" put on.

Still not sure whether to stripe it or not, but got a sample of the vinyl to have a look.

A friend did some Forza photoshops for me. Apprantly, there is no 348 in the game, so he used the inferior 355. Just kidding!

Beautiful, puts the comparatively gormless looking F430 and 360 to shame.

  • flame suit on* What about having the wheels powdercoated gold instead of the stripe? John Player livery-esque...

I'm going to drive around with just the gold wheels for a few weeks to see how it looks and then decide whether to stripe or not.

Here's a pic with a 430 and 911 just for you! biggrin

How about a side stripe rather than viper stripes, along the side skirt? A little more discreet and, dare I say it, classy?

that is one mega cool car. I've toyed with the idea of modifying a sheddy ferrari but the way I'd do it would make the owner club types furious with the likes of an engine swap. Keep up the good work.

I did consider that, but decided against it. I like the side to remain clean.

Just received these wingletts.

Undecided as to whether to install them or not.

Saw this a few weeks at the Ace Cafe, didn't realise this was the same car as the thread until I noticed the number plate. Car looks unbelievable in the flesh, i'm very jealous!

Good thing you didn't look at the interior as it's a bit tatty. More "to do" stuff!!

Got some more bling delivered today.

Carbon look shields for the front wings. Not sure if I'll stick those on as it won't match the gold wheels.

Some Ferrari owners are telling me not to put the winglet on.

I'm going to Auto Italia tomorrow, so will be taping one of them on and pretending that they are permanent fixtures.

biggrin
