I've just been shopping in it and I'd certainly missed driving it after 8 weeks of not using it for sure. It was also lovely to drive it roof down with only a t-shirt on(rather than a couple of hoodies in the colder months).

I only went there and back but I'm a happy man again! biggrin

The road tax was £580 though and that does seem like a fair chunk of cash to me, I guess that it is worth it though for the joy it brings me. driving

Good stuff.

It’s only money! Can’t enjoy it when you’re gone.

You should have done it before the budget - my Z4M coupe "only" cost £570! laugh

At least I was able to visit family and sit 2M away in the garden this weekend, so I've finally managed 1,000 miles since I bought my car in December!

But just that interaction along with a 90 mile round-trip lifted my spirits so much I didn't even think about costs!

That is true regards the tax! laugh

I'm chuffed for you that you got the chance to enjoy your Z4M, and that you also got the opportunity to see your family. thumbup

Still on lockdown here in Wales... Got mine out of the garage for a (localish!) trip to drop off shopping and cut my Mum's lawn and returned via the long, slow road home this weekend.

That’s got to sting a bit; makes me realise how lucky I am only forking out £150 a year for mine M140i.

Still really enjoying the car. I used it today for the first time in 3 weeks but prior to that I used it fairly regularly for a couple of weeks.

I put a personal plate on it a few weeks ago which I'm happy with. Plus I enjoyed a bit of fun today with a 2017 Cayman S and we exchanged a thumbs up! driving Then I got absolutely left for dead by a chap in a GLC 63S...they certainly don't hang around and it has made me want over 500bhp now! biglaugh

Good stuff. Those GLC’s make a pretty good racket too.

I remember following an M5 Comp for a bit last year and getting left for dead.

They do sound nice for sure. cool I keep trying to work out some man maths for one...but I reckon that it is a total lost cause! hehe That engine really appeals to me in any variant though to be fair. smile

Those M5's are also absolute flying machines too! driving

Dont do it . I had a 370z for three years with bolt on modifications , bought a supercharged one with just under 500hp and sold it after less than 6 months . They work well as they are , adding more horsepower doesnt make them better in any way imo .

I do always remember you saying this to be fair. thumbup

I am very happy with it as it is, and I didn't buy it for the outright performance anyway(it is probably a bit tubby for that I reckon!). It is good to know that there are options for it though for sure. driving

Nothing much to add apart from I'm still really enjoying the car and the noise it makes. Had an enjoyable morning in the sun roof down, and I got a nice smile/wave from a young chap. Days like today are great roof down for sure. smile

A service and MOT are due soon so I'll see how it gets on. I hope the underside of the car hasn't completely rusted away yet! hehe
