Same seller as the tartan 993, seems odd not to engage fully with the question, especially when you are a dealer.

I guess knowing these cars will sell for a decent price it's sometimes easier to be a bit terse or vague

Seems like a reasonable 'rant' to me

Why shouldn't he take to social media to make a few comments on his experience, everyone else does with far more of a 'compo' face

It's also a clever way of saying he is no different to everyone else , in which case Porsche could have actually been pleased as it stops people using him as a proxy when trying to get a GT car!

I’m no GT3 aficionado, so someone will need to educate me a little on what clubsport and clubsport interior are, but the seller has put a couple of cars through CC recent,y and all of them appear to have had some issues.
Looks like the owner of VVS, punting out his personal collection before the sky falls down

I think the problem is to sustain such a model like this you rely on a fast turnover of cars, which is fine for a while as it's a merry go round, then people own too many cars, they also realise that auction sites are a good place for trade to punt out cars they would rather not put on the forecourt.

Chuck in some bad news about the economy, nothing that would wildly effect me today but by same token I'm not cracking open the bubbly.

It was a good time for sellers last couple of years, this year so far mixed with the next few months better for buyers..

Problem is Just good for sellers is better as you can move on that car you bought after a few sherberts without getting too much earache!

I wonder what this will end up at...

Seller has a lot of cars too judging from the auctions.

I see the (in)famous 997 GT3 from VVS is coming back up for sale again. Must be fourth time now, it was up in the PH classifieds until a few weeks ago
What's the deal with it?

Sold for 5k less than bought for in November last year with no miles added, a sign of a market shift?

A 'Belgravia' car no profit in this one

I love this but a big service and anything else could add up to a 10k bill for a new owner?

They will text the owners as the auction closes advising no reserve to get the bidding up but sellers are not keen to reduce prices and let the 'market' find the price.

I think there are fewer buyers now the novelty has worn off, they also have put refer to photos for condition meaning if it's rusty we told you so

There are five cars I have had my eye on, lovely cars that seem to have been sitting around for a years with no service work or maintenance.

I want a car that I can use on day one, not have with an indy for two months having all manner of work done to it just to be able to drive it.

Two examples:

And this which after underneath pics were requested and added looks like it could be good pals with the Titanic

Been watching this one and not being mechanically minded, couldn't decide whether those underneath photos were the usual age-related crud of no concern or structural rot that would cost £000s to fix.
My main concern was with the underneath of the bumpers which had someone not requested pics of been a nice surprise on what could be a 45k car

They also tried to sell too many cars on one day, only 10% selling so far, perhaps their profitability is predicated on 10% sales but as a seller I would be fed up and as a buyer I would be super cautious of unrealistic reserves, reaching reserve would actually make me feel worried!

I was interested in buying tonight but even though its not going to make me homeless my mortgage tripling is a bit of a choker! Same for anyone else...probably.

People seem to be punting out nice cars but with three plus years in their service history missing that have been in 'storage'

Meaning, we are headed for some fiscal turbulence and time to get rid of anything that can be hard to sell or won't sell for anything close to what your expectations are in 6-12 months.

Yes, some people are rich but if you are buying a knackered old Ferrari for 50k I would suggest you aren't and are going to find it hard to shift in a years time when you need the dosh and you've spent 10k plus getting it shipshape.

'Bargain' or on the money?

https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2000-porsche-9...

I notice a Ferrari 512 BB sold for 165k when the owner said he paid 300k 6 years ago.

I would say an owner of that type of car has a less smudgy crystal ball than many

70-80% of auctions not selling and given the low cost model that's probably still profitable
