Penny s dropped, i saw it at one of the WOTY S ,may have been Althorpe ,the plate reminded me, nice . Also remember the NZ story now u ve mentioned it. Dont know abt John, but his is an Evo so unlikely to have needed loom, mine also after the 'batch' that needed doing .....both rs 's got changed courtesy of Mr Porsche .............JC and i have both been with 'wondrous Wayne 'for a bit of remapping near Warrington............the guy is a genius if u can only tie him down to when he will do it ,John on hols this week but i am delighted with what hes achieved with mine, with safe ,progressive and careful mapping took all day,[and most of the night left them at 12 30 am] have a curve on the graph thats just smooth all the way ..................its the steepest i ve ever seen
Nice looking black car at Camtune ,almost tempted myself!
Couple of Donnigtons ,22nd Oct and 2 nd Nov and date me done for 2004 .............if the weathers like out the window right now will take yellow Clubsport

Yes wayne is good,he mapped my cup car 12 months ago.Good chap.Does take some time though, also cheaper than motec and less to fiddle with, which can be a bonus.

Just had a look at camtune car,it looks like the car that came in from jersey 3 or 4 months ago.Dependant on money,it may well be around for a long time like the red one.Its been reshelled, and was mid night blue.Pretty shore the reshell was done at swindon, would like to see if it has a seem welded shell!
There is not many genuine rhd in the uk,there are 2 that have been reshelled.the second being a silver one so beware.I was actualy offered the shell from reading as it had been used to train the body techs on how to rebuild shells etc.
It has since been sold to australia. The clause for sale in the uk was for race only, and not for road use.Who knows where it will end up in aus, apparently being built in to a racer.
I have a bare gt2 shell that was raced in lemans 98& 99 and american LM series by roock and has a roock chasssis number ,one of 6 roock cars.still got the lemans scrute sticker on the roll cage,I am now thinking of selling it,as i was going to build a gt racer. Its fantastic race history and looking for around 18k.

John oop north has sold his yellow RHD 993 gt for a little short of £150k

Was there this morning and saw the car, wow, it is truly wonderful. Only 12K on the clock too...and ~550 bhp. The car is back in the showroom for sale also!

The 996 GT2 'RS' they have for sale is awesome too, looks very aggressive.

Best Regards

Martyn.

Burzel - I'm taking the GT2 to the 'Ring in November with RMA, should be pretty awesome round there. Will have to adjust some of my 'approach' speeds however! Go on take it, you know you want to!

If the £150K car in the grim north is near perfect and stays that way, it will seem a bargain when we look back in 5 years time.......

I think the 993 GT2 will be a safe place to put your money longer term - maybe 10 years+. Look at what these cars were fetching only a few years ago, way less than now 50k mile car sold in the Times a couple of year back, mid to high 60's? Same car with more mile now £75k! They are a great deal of money, but represent quite possibly the pinacle of 911dom. This great car will never be repeated (I've had a 996GT2 and they're like chalk and cheese).

I've been offered over £100K for a black LHD GT2 that has been hanging around here for a while, thinking of taking it and doing a runner to Florida......

Sounds interesting. I've been having dreams that I have a black 993gt2, but when I wake up it's not there, funny that.

Well, at least it is now making more power on a standard ecu with S maps than it did on the (very expensive) Rooke plug-in, what's more I should get more for it now it's SUV approved and passed emissions testing
