V12 Vantage Roadster Confirmed
Discussion
Been a weird one this... so obvious they had to make it, but a lot of people, including Aston workers thought they wouldn't - chatted to a few of them at Le Mans last year.
Has there ever been an easier way to cash in - use the V8VSR bodyshell and V12V running gear and the car is already made! I bet it won't have the new 570bhp unit, likely the be the 510bhp V12V engine do we think?
George, the vents can be painted very easily so who cares!

Just to say the long rumoured V12 Vantage Roadster is about to be made "official" ... get your order in now . No further details or exact pricing as yet, but I'm sure they will be unveiled shortly - with delivery expected in early 2013.
Where is this coming from Grant? We've heard a lot of rumors, including the one about the great reveal at Geneva, which never happened. Grant3 said:

Hi G. Hope you're well? Had my order in for blooming years! Is the patience about to pay off I wonder. A recent coffee and chat at AM HQ would suggest you're right. G/F (who currently has V12Coupe) has had order in for a long time too. Wonder if they'll make a premium................Edited by Pugsey on Monday 21st May 15:38

Me thinks you are correct
I am in the final throws of a holiday and just checking on flight times home tomorrow but couldn't resist a quick peek at PH. Where did 570 come from (even the zagato has 510 and during the recent factory trip the AM people did not bat an eyelid when I suggested that they should have released the zagato with more power that the v12v). They also were again definite in that a roadster was not on the cards. Have things really changed that quickly, if so the holiday was even better than I imagined. Personally still prefer a coupe to a roadster but can understand the clamour for one.So as I hinted weeks ago the DEAD HORSE many thought was being flogged had indeed got life still in it.
Got asked jokingly if I wanted to order one by the very heady heights a while back so I presumed it would be a goer,I think the Pits
will be on the money at circa 150k and I would expect a low volume run in the 100's rather than 1000's.
That said the V12V was marketed to be a limited run but that seemed to fade as new markets opened there arms to embrace
the beast.
I'd take a stab at a paddle shift being available along the S lines which sounds sorted, well focused and probably great fun to drive.
So all we need now is confirmation of the rumour, a friendly Bank Manager and most importantly an understanding wife.
