i found the sprint race as dull as anything, they do seem to be settling down to a follow my leader bore fest currently. Certainly when compared to the full GP on Sundays.
Sprints are just banzai, no issues with tyres, qualifying is king, after initial 2 laps it's all over. At least with tyre management and issues we have better racing. For all the criticisms of tyre life, pressures etc. if we didn't have that we'd have even less racing on a Sunday.
I also sense that factory Ducati just don't go a bundle on Martin's character and persona. Tough call though for Gigi though .... I hope he goes with Marquez. I don't believe Martin will have the same success on another factory bike that's currently available. I suspect if he went to Aprilia, he would challenge inconsistently and Aprilia would screw it up for him, he would criticise them publicly a lot and the relationship would sour over time. It'd be even worse if he went to Honda for example.
There's more to being a factory rider than just being fast. You need to be a good company man at Ducati - you never hear Pecco criticise the bike. I don’t think the factory really want the other aspects of Jorge - if he's such good pals with Aleix he should give him some advice. He had some lean years on the Aprilia after all. Similar thoughts here, I'm not convinced his face fits
Perhaps with Zarco leaving and Morbidelli missing pre season, the others have had to take on more of the testing load of the GP24. Maybe Ducati don't appreciate his feedback or it's lacking. Jorge Martin wouldn't be the first rider to be fast on a bike someone else has sorted, but that being the limit of it. I appreciate I am speculating.
summary of general consensus, most likely scenario, from what I hear/read seems to be. ...
Pramac go to Yamaha
Gresini stay with Ducati and get one '24 and one '25 bike
VR46 stay with Ducati and get one '24 and one '25 bike
Martin gets factory seat in red with Bagnaia
Marquez stays at Gresini with a '25 spec bike
Multiple other moves likely after that for factory seat at Aprilia if Espagaro does retire, who gets '25 bike at VR46, who rides at Pramac etc etc.

Some good races since Dorna somehow got billions for selling motogp to the F1 people.
A couple of things that bother me, you feel like they made every weekend a sprint race to push up the value.
Those races have a bit of dicing at the start then everyone below a certain position just cruises around. Why smash yourself up for sunday and miss the main race?
Also could they use the F1 TV platform in the future?. They somehow sell F1 subs for approx £60 a year in places like the USA and Portugal..
Meanwhile Motogp effort is £200 odd quid most places.
Sky dont have some long term big money deal for Motogp do they, so there must be scope?
As for Marquez, Why stick him alongside Peco? Just give him a works bike. Will just cause stress in the team otherwise.
Couple of years time the likes of Acosta will be handing everyone a riding lesson and they can snap him up.

TNT have the contract for MotoGP. They’re part of Warner Bros Discovery and they hold the US broadcast rights too. I think they’re probably more entwined than Sky are with F1 A couple of things that bother me, you feel like they made every weekend a sprint race to push up the value.

Acosta may well deliver but he’ll be contracted to a team and Ducati might not be able to afford him.
Sky in Italy do have the MotoGP and WSBK coverage though. They also get 6 free to air races in Italy as well.

There was plenty of gushing about Rins and Bez. Rightly so.
Marquez is just a bigger deal all round. Him leaving Honda was a massive story in itself last year, and dominated the rider market.
That's horsest. They had an interview with Uccio at Catalan GP, (next round) and none of this hype nonsense about Bezzechi for the last 3 rounds. Marquez has become the main source of media talk, chatter, speculation, out promoting Pedro Acosta, and Martin and Pecco by a country mile. Marquez is just a bigger deal all round. The way the media and Dorna are hyping it up, it is cynical. Martin has already expressed his displeasure that he won both races one weekend, set new lap records, and the media are only asking about Marquez.
Dorna's changes to the race weekend, to prioritise Moto GP class and get rid of warm ups for Moto GP riders to ride around on a trailer firing T shirts into the stands, is another example of them just wanting to make it into a "show" not a race series. And the Marquez stuff, sale to Liberty, and Suzie Perry "welcoming US viewers" to the Moto GP coverage after all the inconvenient Moto3 and 2 stuff has finished is all part of the plan.
We record every single minute of Moto GP coverage for several years now, and wither watch the whole weekend coverage live, ot afterwards, every session. I find myself fast forwarding through all the pre-amble now, they hardly cover the lower classes, even the reduced sessions, they seem to shoehorn in Marquez story into it.
It's being morphed from a sport to entertainment, because the yanks who dont know one end of a bike from another need the story spoonfeeding to them.
I went to 4 Moto GP races last year, 6 the year before, the whole family. Losing interest in it already this year, as I can see the way it is going and only got one round planned so far.

You seem to be getting your knickers in a right twist about this. Suzy Perry welcoming American viewers? So what?
Acosta's performance on the KTM has nothing to do with this....really, not, well maybe a little.
“Since I'm competitive, next year I want to have a latest evolution bike to fight for the world championship. Regardless of where it is, regardless of the colour or brand. I have clear ideas.”
They could afford him. Herve is praying because he would have one of them since Binder is contracted in.

Works better from a Redbull perspective too. The Ducati/Monster tie up is a bit of an issue. Can't see it being an insurmountable one though. “Since I'm competitive, next year I want to have a latest evolution bike to fight for the world championship. The sale hasn't gone through yet, so the billions haven't changed hands, and Dorna aren't selling Moto GP, the people who own Dorna have agreed to sell (most of) it to Liberty A couple of things that bother me, you feel like they made every weekend a sprint race to push up the value.
