Does anyone know if there's a A2.3 Data2SD ROM out there?

supernova is the equivalent at the moment but it's a bit slow compared with star burst. I've been looking at others but haven't got something working with data2sd yet and the other apps 2 sd stuff isn't as good imo.

I figured as much. Data2SD really is spot on. Had a play with a mate's Desire HD the other day with the latest Sense and it was very nice...

Thats sense 2.1 though isn't it? 3.0 is a leap forward!

Hmm, I thought that was 3.0. Whatever it is, it's a leap forward from the standard Desire with some lovely touches.

I'm sure there will be a Starburst ROM with 2.3 and Sense 3.0 <crosses fingers, squints eyes and wishes hard>. Data2SD is so neatly-executed, I don't think App2SD would cut it any more. Either way my phone's leagues ahead of where it was a couple of weeks ago; I'm very pleased, even to the point where I'm wondering whether to bother with the Sensation...

Know what you mean, I am not sure there is enough new in the Sensation to justify changing now, may awit for the next big thing. The guy that develops Starburst and Supernova is a student and is back at college so SuperNova won't change much for a while as far as I can work out.

Hi Funk,

Have you had any issues with always being asked to accept the T&C for the market and also not remembering the auto update for weather.

Small but annoying issues that have appeared after rooting.

Nope, mine's been working perfectly (touch wood). Sounds like you're having minor - yet irritating - issues. Have you tried re-flashing the ROM? Backup all your data in Titanium and reinstall Starburst, see if that fixes it? Should be a 10-minute job.

Don't forget to do a Nandroid backup in Clockwork as well before wiping - worst case scenario you're back to where you are now in minutes.

Rooted mine and was running Oxygen 2.3 on it until I left it on the roof of the car frown

Anyway retrieved the phone from the road and obviously the screen is smashed and the lilac metal surround is badly scored. HTC say they will fix it, not a problem.

The phone still works, as the alarm went off this morning!!

Any random thoughts on the cost of a screen and surround repair?

This might be a daft question. But is there an ideal Sd card to use for Rooting and partitioning?

As I've said before. I've rooted fine but it won't partition or read/Load new Roms.
It also won't Backup/restore/Format properly once in Clockwork Recovery.

So is there a recommended Size/Speed that I could try,

Thanks again.

Try this firm for a quote

HTC's service centre has very long long turnaround times at the moment, they were in one of the tech magazines apologising but said that the turnaround times wouldn't improve for a while yet.

Mine is an 8gb Sandisk Class 4 card, if you look on the card there should be a number inside an unfinished circle. This is the Class number, the higher the better for data transfer speed.

Mine works fine for everything i've thrown at it.

Thanks. Mine is a Sandisk 4 Gb Class 4. Hmmm I shall have a play around with it. Maybe manually wiping it later and trying again

Mine's a 16Gb Class 2 and that's working perfectly too. Ideally a faster card would be better but I don't ever sit there thinking, "Christ, this could do with being quicker.." hehe

oops, helps if I post the link!

http://www.appbrain.com/app/sd-tools/ales.veluscek...

Speed results for my card - Write speed - 6.2 MB/s and Reading speed - 19.5 MB/s

Wonder if it makes a difference when running apps from the SD, for example Stupid Zombies takes an age to load up on mine.

Just been trying the InsertCoin V1.0.8 Rom with Sense 3.0 stuff in it. Like the feel of it but with only A2SD+ I am running out of space even before I have restored all my apps. It uses the ext partition but invisibly. A 12mb app takes up a couple of mb of space etc. Shame it's not an easy install to Data2sd.

Like the Sense 3.0 lockscreen, very cool! and the SMS app is vastly better. It looks good just need someone to come up with a Data2SD compatible version, none of the other apps2sd solutions seem as good and easy, not sure why it isn't more popular.

Oh well back to Starburst again! smile

What are the options now for live sync between outlook and android? Is exchange still the only viable option? I want calendar / tasks / notes / contacts to be malleable on the fly and always up to date on phone and PC.... can't find a simple option. Google Calendar is an unutterable bag of ste, and they have no support for tasks / notes etc....

Something like The Missing Sync will do some of it - will at least support notes and tasks (after bolting on 47 more bits of software rolleyes), but only over USB or wi-fi, not when I'm elsehwere...

Exchange works seamlessly.

Do you not use Exchange email?
