P0011 on Peugeot 1.2 puretech

Trying to help someone out. Has been intermittent issue that would come up from time to time but would clear on subsequent journey few days later. Also he is getting bad performance on hills from time to time. He had the belt done at main dealer in September light was off at the time.

Have changed both solenoids for China specials via Amazon last week. On taking out for test drive he said it felt better but the error came up again. Cleared error and couldn't reproduce for 10 miles. Today the car was used again after changing out the battery as that only had 35pc CCA available and got a CEL again.

Anyone got any tips or advice for this. Was thinking of putting factory solenoids back but swapped positions to rule out bad new solenoid as a start. The factory solenoids filter screen did not have any debris.

Is there a way to test the Cam sprocket using compressed air? He has purchased an Autel dongle in the hope that it would show requested cam postiuon against calculated position however the Autel doesnt seem to show that in live data.

Hi Thanks yes my suggestion was to swap the solenoids back in as they looked clean but with them swapped positions to see if the fault "moves". I have asked the guy and he said light was apparent prior to timing belt completed by main dealer and the CEL remained off for a couple of months. Have attached the freeze frame data for the cause of the latest DTC.
