This afternoon, it was a nice hot day with kids out in pools in front garden of local chav estate. We drove down one road with windows open ,to get a sudden deluge on car, and water coming through side windows. WTF, then I saw two women and a kid or two in a front garden with bicycle style water guns soaking the road. I tuned round at the junction and went back ,to get more of same. This time I asked the adults if it was their intention to cause an accident.A polite version was "Sod off ,old busy body, we're emptying the pool".( They had a chlds paddling pool in front garden and were using this to fill the water guns) Now of late, we've seem a lot of very young kids playing chicken( or refusing to move for traffic) about there. My fear is that with water distraction and very wet screen a nasty is about to happen . Suggestions .

Ignore and keep your eyes peeled on the roads for random wandering kids. People are too ready to report everything to BiB these days.

ATB and Good Luck Education to this lot comes from using a baseball bat to persuade them that firing streams of water across a road, onto vehicles and into the vehicles. I have another solution I will try. Breed with this lot- I'd suggest it was two ladies who were good friends( very good friends)

How do you see the wandering kids ,when windscreen is covered in a sheet of water and your attention is diverted by a stream of water though the window. Try it some time. And the kids( more like toddlers) don't wander, they jump out from behind parked cars. In chav territory ,take a video camera in the car and you're automatically a pervert

[quote=Who me ?]In chav territory ,take a video camera in the car and you're automatically a pervert I know, and I sympathise, but it is only water, thank f k. Yes, it's annoying and distracting and no-one should have to deal with it but kids do that and they always have done. Last year in the snow I had a massive row with a kid who threw a snowball at the car, the kid just didn't grasp that it could be dangerous and a lot of them don't, they just see it as mischief. If it was a stone that would be different. I'm not belittling your experience, it's just that everyone seems to want to report everything to the police these days and I don't think it's necessarily useful.

Sorry, I have utterly f ked up the quotes above. God knows how. I did try to fix them but am hopeless. Just ignore everything I've said unless you can work it all out and quote it correctly.

OK- I've had kids do this in snow, but this was adults and they were waiting for a car to pass on the excuse of "emptying pool".I was lucky in that my passenger was on their side. Consider the effect of this sort of pressure hitting my eyes if I'd been going the opposite way. It wasn't just a water pistol, but , in effect more like a hose .It was deliberate targeting of passing cars IMHO .

OK, so I misread your OP and assumed it was kids when it was actually the grown-ups. Sorry about that.
I still don't see what you can do, although I accept it's possibly more annoying. You confronted them and got a silly excuse rather than an apology. Yes, you can report it to the BiB, but again, what are they going to do? There's no proof and I imagine they'll just say, 'We'll keep an eye out' in a disinterested fashion.
I'm not trying to be confrontational about this, I just don't thing there's anything you can do apart from have a rant then keep your eyes open in the same place in future.

Woo! I worked out that it was the question mark in your user name that was screwing up the quotes. Remove it immediately!

Doubt if BIB will do anything against ( as I see it two "ladies" )renting council premises, but next chance I will try to report it and get an incident number. I'll also pass this and house number on to the council enforcement officer with comments on kids in road and possibly danger of blinded/distracted driver and kids in road not being something to be desired thing. He's already sent out letters to some parents about kids playing in street warning them of danger, so hopefully that might do some good. Me, I'll cut of this street part way down next time, or get some rocks on board

I did see some tomatoes on sale that day, and thought about that. Drove past that house today( same time), with windows shut waiting for the hose , and crossing the road where I got soaked was a three year old, with two others on my side of the road .Yesterday there might have been some dead kids. I fear I might have missed seeing them. I've seen cars in past get hit with eggs and sausage. I did complain to one yob about the absence of bacon, as then I could have a fry up. Joke not computed by the single brain cell. Now having got the rant over lets get down to the PH tradition of suggesting the best revenge
