29GB, if you please !! My connection is not too bad at about 5.5Mb, but it's still about a 12 hour download. Can't wait to see what the PC version of this looks like. It looked awesome just on the humble 360!

It's good..it's very good !!!
The cut scenes are the closest yet I've seen to video and there's not much in it when it leaves cut cut and goes to game play. Not only graphically, but also the way it changes for a cut scene, i.e. you can't really tell when a cut scene ends and game play starts.
Oh, and I aimed at some blokes nadgers and when I shot him he grabbed his crotch !

Great is game so far but my gaming skills must be going downhill. I started playing on hard difficulty as I do in most games, got a couple of hours in and hit a roadblock (won't say where so as not to spoil it for others). Is there a way to change the difficulty after you start? I've looked through the menus but can't see anything...

Well this is crap, i've installed it yet it won't play!!
The autoupdater pops up when i launch the game then disappears and nothing happens!
Any ideas anyone?

Mine did that - uninstalled and re installing off the 4 discs now - its takes ages!

Any ideas anyone? When I first started mine up it came up with a full title screen thing, then disappeared into the task bar. I killed it, rebooted and started Steam again and it was fine. But it did take a while to start up, i.e. blank screen etc. I did think it had died. What OS are you running ? Have a look on the Steam Forums ( even if you did not download if from Steam ) and it might give you some clues.

Wow ,this is good.i usually skip cut scenes in,ost games but here they are so good,script and acting is great and the gameplay ain't too bad either,I love that bullet time where you dive and make outrageous headshots.

I've given up playing it - it bored my rigid after a couple of hours.
I mean, it looks amazing, but it's just cut scene after cut scene after cut scene. It you took those out there would be hardly any game left.

IT's a good game, don't get me wrong however it has its flaws. Whilst everyone is drooling over the character models and animations they seem to have overlooked that some things looks rather bad and it's jarring with everything else. There are some horrible textures and lack of details in the surrounding environment. There's a cutscene where a guy pulls up and you get in his car and the car looks like it came right out of GTA3. Things like tail lights on the vehicles are simply a gradient filled texture. There's no sense of illumination. Everything looks flat, and dull like it's been finsihed with matte paint.
The action scenes are repetitive and the layout of levels doesn't work well for the bulletdodge that was so prevalent in the previous games. Someone else summed it up better when they called it Gears of Payne 3. The latter levels are spent mostly in cover using Bullet time.
Overall it has this Kane and Lynch vibe to it but doesn't pull it off as well as K&L did (a game that was hugely panned for some reason despite being everything you would want in a Heat simulator).

Only things I didn't really like was the when you got shot and put into bullet time if you ran out of ammo you couldn't kill the guy that shot you so you had no choice but die, or if something is in the way, and then you end up lying on the floor, out of cover getting shot at, other than that I really liked it.

Starting playing this today, at the boat yard bit now, so don't think I'm too far in at all, only played for a bit.
I'm struggling with it though as I've just finished Uncharted 2 and 3 and the buttons are completely different (I prefer Uncharted controls) Also I've never played a Max Payne before (which hasn't actually made the story in this one confusing which is good) but I'm getting confused when to hide for cover, when to use bullet time etc.

It's pretty much like gears of war. If there is more than one or two baddies then use bullet time. The bullet time dodge I rarely used.

You're right, only just got a ps3, before that I hardly played games. I completed uncharted 2 and 3 and really enjoyed them and I'm now playing a lot of fifa. I've never had a console before.
