I'd also add that I've changed from 30 day premium to single, as I don't have time (or sometimes inclination) to play regularly at the moment, so i'm aware of days "wasted".
Struggling (still!!) to make sense of the XP system at times... just played a game on the new map "serene coast" (which the replay saves as "canada"... and while we're here, actaully it's about half a new map, at best, as the rest is hills or water...) in my amx13/90, I got 3 shots off - I think 2 did damage to a type59, one bounced, then I died in a blaze of shells, less than a minute in... 700-ish xp! Then played a key role on Redshire in my ARL44, got 3 kills, dealt a fair bit of damage out on top, 800-ish xp. I can only think my 13/90 in the first game managed to light up half the enemy and they got heavily whacked immediately... god knows I didn't do the damage!

Yeah, the thought of wasted days is why is why I bothered to work it out. I've got to play more than 10 days in the next 30 to make it a better deal than buying single days. The Mrs is away for the next 10 days so I should do that easily

It also depends on what you damage.
If you damage tiers higher than yourself lots of XP, if you damage less than yourself very few XP.
You often get far more XP damaging the highest in the game than killing the lower tiers.

Ok my thoughts on 7.5 so far are very positive. The new lower MM tier spread actually means I can usually be at least somewhat useful in most matches rather than being a high tier whipping boy. Weehoo, the game is fun again. Also just got myself an M4 and while it's not brilliant yet as it's stock and the crew isn't fully trained, I can definately see the potential for this to be a great tank.

I also think 7.5 looks very good, new vehicles are always interesting and while I would be annoyed if I had tier 9 tank destroyers.. Well, I don't the matchmaking looks a lot more sensible now. I haven't played a huge number of games but haven't had any stupid ones yet, so it seems to be all good. You guys talking about the ELC AMX.. Jesus, why did nobody tell me it was so fast?! It's insane! Is this what the three tier 5 scouts are like? Awesome piece of kit, turns very hard indeed so you hardly feel the loss of the turret rotation in most cases. And that gun is hilarious when you're in the right game, nobody knows what to expect from this tiny little scooter yet but I bet it ain't 240HP hammered from a Tiger's front -The M4 is a very good tank when sorted out, and while I prefer the PzIV at tier 5, both the E2 and E8 upgrades are great tanks too, and extremely easy to play effectively.

Nice to know on the M4, looking forward to devoloping it further. As for the ELC AMX, I'm a little bit undecided at the moment. Yes it's quick and hits pretty hard but it's still very weak and gets put in too many high tier games. Perhaps it's me, I don't really enjoy the scouts. Yes zipping around at warp speed is fun but I actually like to damage what I can hit and be able to take a few hits in return. Oh and if yoy think the AMX is fast you should try the T50's, they are just insane. It's just a pity that again the MM (still) puts them in some very uneven games. Seems to be problem with all tier 5 scouts though.

T5 scouts are...interesting. They do well on some maps, against some opposition, but if they are against experienced opposition, they very often get obliterated as soon as spotted. You can tell who plays they a lot; they're the ones who don't complain bitterly at getting one shot while trying to blow past the main line of defence to get to the arty.
You either have a great game playing them, or get instakilled. Very little in between ground.

I still haven't got the hang of scouting. Hopefully it should get better once I can train my T50 crew in camouflage and recon. I'm still getting clobbered by stuff I haven't even seen.

Your job is to paint targets for them, not to particularly get kills yourself. 3. Wait!!! Arty need time to load and arrange. Enemy arty will be moving in the first minute or so. 4. Pick your route. Stay behind over or go for non-traditional routes to break through enemy lines. 5. Once you've started, keep moving. Must admit I've not got any T5 scouts myself, but the above is based on scouting I've done, and seeing really effective scouts help my team.

I have a T-50 that is maxed on the tracks and engine, what an insanely fast thing!!!!
Gets wasted easily but i can always find the enemy and avoid the 1st round of shots. If i am lucky i can get through to the enemy gun line and take out the arty with my 50mm.

Had the pleasure of being in a game where exactly this happened. Obviously an experienced player in a Priest was telling the other players to just spot and entice the opposition armour out. Most of the players listened and with the medium & heavies moving in unison with the arty support it was a brilliant game. Wasnt much the enemy could do against a coordinated attack. So one of the good ones to cancel out one of the lemming fests

I agree - I didn't think much of the M4 when I had it, but love me E2 and E8. Having said that, an M4 one-shotted my PzIV last night, then went on to make mincemeat of my mate in his PzIV! Not sure how that happened as I normally destroy the M4s without too much bother, but he was quite close and the US guns seem to be better once you get up close and personal.

One of the options to consider on the M4 is the howitzer if memory serves - longer reload and not as accurate but can do some serious damage.

Occasionally you get a lucky shot. I one shotted a Type 59 the other week in my Pershing, must have got the ammo rack.

I am trying to get my win rate up. I seem to get runs now of wins and looking good then no matter what I lose. Thing is today, even when losing, in the main I had a great game. Best was in the Grille with five kills which were the ony kills of the team

Reason I ask is that I am not sure whether to upgrade the gun as I am having fun with the standard issue one. There does not seem to be any point in going above Tier4 arty as the gap to the Hummel is bonkers Thinking about it you said "5 kills"... so probably Tier5 full fat ?

There does not seem to be any point in going above Tier4 arty as the gap to the Hummel is bonkers Top gun - you get no benefit in mm from having the lower gun. Hummel is not so bad and a good cash earner. The GWpanther will go when I get the GwTiger but will keep both Grille and Hummel as they are good fun.
